No. 16 -- Kendall Thompson to Texas
Carthage defensive end/linebacker Kendall Thompson is the 16th commit of the 2011 Texas Longhorns recruiting class and the first commitment of the second Junior Day. Confident of receiving his offer before the visit, Thompson did indeed receive it and wasted no time becoming a Longhorn. It's not clear if Texas offered him as a linebacker or defensive end, but Thompson has a similar frame to Steve Edmond, but is more likely to end up at defensive end.

From Smoaky.com

144-Tackles, 21-Tackes For Losses, 13-QB Pressures, 3-Caused Fumbles, 3-Fumble Recoveries, 3-Interceptions, and 1-Sack.
Kid sounds like he is truly excited to be a Longhorn:
"I was very anxious to meet Coach Brown and the rest of the coaches and other recruits and when he offered the scholarship I was so excited, it was unreal, and it’s such a tremendous honor to be apart of this recruiting class."
Hey NeTex, who's the guy that does the smoaky.com website?
