Good question
Woods has the better build, but I suspect that McCoy has the better game knowledge. Mack made it very clear that he offered Case on his ability. He really is a pretty good QB. My money is that Woods is the 3 deep and Case redshirts just because he needs to bulk up if nothing else.
Both
The only thing to change that would be if GG goes down for the year with injury. Sherrod could probably lead ‘em through the easy games. Would hate to waste a year of Wood’s eligibility by having him ride the pine this year. You know he’d probably play less that GG did this past year.
Even then, I'd be tempted to just go with Walker or Floyd as the backup to Harris
That is, unless it looks like a long-term deal that Gilbert would be gone or Harris would be unavailable. If it were just for a week or two, getting by with Walker or Floyd as the backup should be okay.

I think right now
it’s a couple over. Try to work on getting a roster table up at some point in the near future.

thanks, I'm looking forward to it
A couple over was my thought as well, but I’m not exactly sure on some players if they’re on scholarship or not.
Tight End
What are we going to do about tight end?
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
Terrell is likely to end up as one.
We also recruited two last year in Barrett Matthews and Trey Graham. Don’t forget about D.J. Grant too. We have a lot of TEs.

The same thing we always do, Pinky...
Texas has not had a true tight end for two seasons, and both ended with a chance at a national title (squandered by computers/voters and injury, respectively). Plus, there are about seven guys on the roster now at TE:
Irby, DJ Grant, Ahmard Howard, Ian Harris, Barrett Matthews, Trey Graham, Greg Smith.
Even counting on Irby and Harris to become medical casualties, you still have five guys competing for time at a little-used position.
also, as above...
Terrell is supposed to spin down to TE as well.
Flex tight end
It’s questionable whether he has the frame to reach the 240-250 pounds he would need to play at to be an attached tight end. Hopefully he will be able to truly exploit the possibilities of that position because he is a much better fit there than Buckner.

Are you guys going to a 3-4
Remember there being some mention of that when coach boom m’er arrived. Judging by the size of the DEs you
brought in, I would think not. Just curious if that is still a possibility.

Daniels
can probably play some five tech and I think Dorsey could slide out there as well and be successful.
To answer the question, though, Muschamp will run some 3-4 but it won’t be the base formation in all likelihood.

I would think Kriegel would be ideal as a 5-tech as well
Of course, it’s a pretty tough position to play as a youngster. Seems like the transition usually takes some time.
