Texas will open three spring practices to the public — March 2, 8th and April 4th for its annual orange-white game.

The first two practices will be at Denius Fields, starting at 4 p.m. The players will be working out in full pads each day that’s open to the public.

The orange-white game is at Royal-Memorial Stadium, April 4. No time for the game has been set, as yet.

Game time will be set when

TV decides it wants to show it. If TV decides that’s midnight on a parking lot, get your lawn chair and get there early.

Damn Brewster and Walters are out for this spring.

Both of them are projected starters next year…..

what is "deadfoot"?

This would be a huge blow to lose Walters.

He has been hurt

For a reallllllllllllllllllllly long time….was it misdiagnosed at first? I feel like a stress fracture would have healed by now. He has been out since like September or October, no?

I've had a bad feeling on Mason Walters

since I read an account during MNC preps that he hurt the foot in the summer and again in the opening game . . . and he was still sidelined in January!

This hurts for next year and could be a crushing loss long-term.

Brewster missing reps means more for Scott, Wells and Vaccaro, which is a positive.

Definitely hurts

He seemed like he might be the LTIW, although Buchanan, Mitchell, and Poehlmann could be there as well. But with the talent Walters has, the competition for that job could’ve been a lot stiffer.

No Acho

Too bad Hicks couldn’t get down here for that extra work as well.

Orange and White game on Easter?

Appears the Orange and White game is scheduled for Easter Sunday. Did they realize this when scheduling?

Easter Sunday-bad planning

I checked on the official website and it does say April 4. It also says that “all dates and times are subject to change.” I hope they change that date or they will have very, very low turnout.

Bad news about Walters…..hope that foot heals. We need him.

Meh

I’ll celebrate Easter next year. I’m an addict that needs a fix, and its only February. This sucks. Baseball season anyone?

Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.

Yeah, baseball season

I’m hoping to catch plenty of games this year. It’s not easy sometimes, what with the regional coverage and all, but justin is nice.

I guess the spring game isn't as likely to draw

The atm game on Thanksgiving pulls people to the stadium, but I guess on less of a whim than would be the case with the spring game. Personally, though, I’d rather be outside at a game in April than in cold November.

I wouldn't mind watching UT football in either type of weather

But a decent sunny day in April is preferable to the last week of November, IMO. I mean, it doesn’t get that terribly cold in Texas in November, but Texas in April can be heavenly.
