tight end position
Obviously with the injuries we have had at the position and the uncertainty of irby's recovery, tight end is a huge need for us. So i was wondering. Question for GOBr who our top targets for the position in 2011 are. i have heard that chris barnett is not very high on us and looks like miami leads so who are the other options were looking at from in state and out of. Thanks in advance

huge need
i think it is. a good tight end who can stretch the field as well as seal the end does wonders for your offense. maybe barrett matthews can be our aaron hernandez
McFarland
another prospect is this guy name McFarland, but no relation to momma’s boy McFarland, the TE prospect is from El Paso i believe
you can play WR in highschool and still be a projected TE.. especially when you’re 6’4 and 230#

blocking
can he block or is he another dan buckner? wasn’t there some kid from washington or something?
TE is needed
A good TE that could block and create a mismatch with a linebacker would be wonderful for our (at times) porous offensive line. Especially if our receivers can’t get over their bouts of droppiness.
If you don't have a FB, you need a TE
Somebody has to block.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
Oh, what I woulda gave for 2 more years of Jermichael Finley
Irby might not have ever gotten hurt. He’s the answer to the TE position. Let’s hope the kid makes a recovery of some sort and UT can recruit an athlete to the position.
