Texas Longhorns at Baylor Bears, Mar 11, 2010 8:30 PM CST
Texas has seen Baylor twice already this season and suffered losses both times. Baylor won in Austin 80-77 OT in January and embarassed the Longhorns, 92-77, in Waco just last Saturday.
People always say that it is difficult to beat a team three times in the same season. I've never understood that. If you already won twice against a given team, haven't you proven two times that you are probably the better team and likely to be the better team no matter how many times you play. Anyway, I hope that old drop of sports wisdom comes true tonight, and Texas gets revenge against Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears.
Quickly and once again, here's how the 'Horns would do it--
1) On defense, cut off dribble penetration, stick to shooters like Tweety Carter and LaceDarius Dunn, box out and keep Quincy Acy, Anthony Jones, and Ekpe Udoh off the offensive glass, and get back in transition.
2) On offense, attack the weak Baylor zone from the high post, run the offense through Damion James, and don't waste possessions with turnovers or quick shots.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
Pretty safe to say we didn't get enough from Johnson or Hamilton
Gary only took 6 shots and missed 5 of them. Baylor’s zone defense is frustrating, but I saw him on the perimeter way too often.
Brown finally plays in the 2nd half and jacks up 7 threes, missing 6.
Our depth is completely gone. 10 points from the bench total, meaning we’ll heavily rely on the starters. Problem with that is one of our starters is Mason.
At this point, I think the reasonable potential of this team is reaching the 2nd round. Just getting to the Sweet 16 should be considered a major overachievement.
How sad is it that going into our first tournament game, we still have no clue how our head coach is going to distribute minutes to the most important position on the court (point guard)? I hope for J’Covan’s sake that he has some good practices from now till next week and can prove to Barnes that he’s willing to play on both sides of the court.

This is an absolutely ludicrous statement. Yates has one guy going to a big time D-1 school and that’s if you can call Providence College big time.

they have beaten 12 of their opponents by 30 or more points, and just put up 8 points in 40 seconds against the colony in the state semifinals
they are the consensus #1 high school b ball team in the nation, and ya, theyd give us a run for our money for sure

So was Findley Prep where Bradley played last year. Yates has no one near his caliber. And you forgot to mention they beat one team by 99 points. Who cares about the Colony? They’ve stunk since Bracey Wright and Darren Williams left.
