ACC, Big 10, and SEC all give me something to watch at work
I can’t decide if I should go check out some of the SXSW films tonight, or watch some pretty high quality basketball.
"The best decision I ever made was coming to Texas," James said. "The second-best decision was coming back."
Ouch
The wound is still fresh. I got hit in the same spot last night in which I was attacked on Saturday.
--AW--
Yea, very fresh
When I woke up this morning I felt almost as bad as I felt the day after the Bama game. I just lost all hope after last night.
"The best decision I ever made was coming to Texas," James said. "The second-best decision was coming back."
No way that that loss can sting as bad as the loss to Bama!
"Football's so important in Texas. On the West Coast, it's a social. On the East Coast, it's a culture. Here, it's a religion."

Your right
But, I was left feeling hopeless after both. And that is not a good feeling.

I'm going to a wedding this weekend of Baylor grads
I’m sooooo happy for them…

By the way
Our defensive efficiency rank fell below our offensive rank for the first time all year. Our freefall has been as much a defensive collapse as offensive, if not more so.
You ain't hurt...
Mostly Defense
You can’t give up 86 points in a 71 possession game and expect to win. Horrible.
--AW--
Taking their sweet ass time getting down court will do that.
’Twas pitiful.

Ugh
That drove me crazier than anything — the transition fails. Bad halfcourt defense is one thing; getting beat down the court is just preventable.
This team is… well, you know.
You ain't hurt...
I know it's a tem sport, and a team loss
I also hate to call out individual players… but Pittman was horrible. I’m sorry but when you’re 6’10" you need to put the ball in the bucket when you’re standing directly underneath it. He seems to still have the vertical of a 400 pounder, all night he was going up WEAK. It cost us any chance we had at an inside game, and put all the pressure on the guards.
Some good early games
Duke trailing by 6 with 3 minutes left

Woops
They are actually up 6, misread the text.

Wow
and Ohio St. was a possible team we could play in the 2nd round. As absolutely disastrous as this season has been, we’re a few good matchups away from getting to the Sweet 16. Crazy how much this tournament depends on luck.

And an even bigger wow . . .
. . . with the way it ended.
Why would you EVER not put a man on the inbounder? I never get that.

Seriously . . .
. . . is there a logical reason in such a situation (team has to go length of the court with 3 seconds or less) why you would ever not put a man on the player imbounding? Yes, I know not doing so gives 5-on-4 defense elsewhere, but I’d take 4-on-4 every single time when you can prevent a clean inbounds pass.

I love march madness!
"The best decision I ever made was coming to Texas," James said. "The second-best decision was coming back."
I think because of the Horns' collapse . . .
. . . I’ve been looking forward to it less this year than any other. I just had the Michigan-OSU game on as background noise as I work. And then you see endings like that and I start getting sucked back in . . .

wow
I would normally assume it won’t last, but no telling this week.

Did OSU's coach run and scream at the other team's coach after the winning shot.
It certainly looked like it. An official actually grabbed him and brought him back to his side.
Looked like Thad was talking smack!
Love the fire!

Down 4 at half, 34- 30
"The best decision I ever made was coming to Texas," James said. "The second-best decision was coming back."
We must be turning the ball over a lot
They have 13 more shots than we do (almost 50%!), but we have one more rebound.
Solid half for A&M
Aggies lead Kansas 38-35 at half.
KU has 12 turnovers in first 20 minutes. Not good.
--AW--
Georgia Tech
a half away from locking up their tourney bid. Yellow Jackets lead Maryland 41-25.
How the hell did Duke let Maryland split the ACC title?

UCLA up on Cal at half
Bruins have been terrible this year. Now, they are just a good half away from essentially an NCAA play-in game.
That’s how bad the Pac 10 is.

Tyler Hansbrough’s little brother missed a three for the win.

K State
getting the best of Baylor late.
Man, it is nice to see guards who can hit outside jumpers consistently.

ACC
No. 1, 7, 11, and 12 seeds are alive in the semifinals.
Duke in great position to win tournament and grab last No. 1 seed.

Winners and Losers today
Winners—Illinois, Georgia Tech, California, and San Diego State may have all secured bids with their wins today.
On their way—Mississippi State and Minnesota took huge steps toward at-large selections but are not there yet.
Losers—Va Tech and Florida. Both are still probably in but far from safely. Mississippi is done with their quarterfinal loss.
