PrintSorry to be brief, Texas-Nebraska game 2 starts at 3 PM (pushed back an hour). Cameron Rupp's 3-run walk off HR last night gave Texas a 6-5 win on a night where Taylor Jungmann didn't have his best stuff. Check out InDKR'sShadow's great write up here for details. How spoiled are we...
…with our pitching that we can talk about getting bench guys time in the fourth of a 10-3 game. Most college baseball teams in the nation wouldn’t feel good until the 9th (at the earliest) with that lead. (I just wrote the prior statement while knocking on wood and with my fingers crossed.)
I was talking to a buddy earlier today and said that it’ll be really interesting to see who Augie puts out there today. This is without a doubt a huge game so I assume Augie is going with the lineup that he favors most. Walla in center instead of Rowe is a big move considering how much Rowe played last year. I like Montalbano to get some PT too but not sure where he’d play. Left? Right instead of Keyes? Then Keyes or Moldy depending on who’s the least hot (probably the best way to describe those two so far this year)?
Rowe hasn’t seen the field all weekend. He was slumping and walla is as fast in cf and on the bases. Walla earned the lead of spot.
Monty pinch hit well so i’d like to see him take keyes at rf. I think maitland is first up for pinch hitting. He dropped a fly in center last night but hits well

At this point in the game I would feel comfortable putting 2 bench guys in the game
one of them being Rowe whose generally a starter and maybe throw Paulie in there
