Success!

I guess. Unlike our fearless leader, I prefer team accomplishments to individual awards. But nice job to James. I hope the award improves his draft stock. Not that I think about it, maybe Rick was ahead of the curve…

Your tongue can't repel flavor of that magnitude!!

Congrats to Damion James, Dogus Balbay, Avery Bradley

That being said, however…

James – a player a lot of people had on their pre-season NATIONAL POY list didn’t even make Conference POY. And people are asking is he the best-ever at UT based on stats…geeze

Bradley – Being a freshman starting on a team going to the tourney will get you noticed. Averaging 12 pts per game got James a second team all conference his sophomore season so the Honorable Mention and ALL Rookie are well deserved for Avery as a freshman.

Balbay’s defense is well known so the award is well deserved.

In the…. That’s gotta suck category:

All the hype surrounding Barnes’ incoming class and the “Freshman of the Year Award” goes to 3* player from missouri playing for colorado.

And the “Sixth Man Award” goes to a 3* player from NC playing for KSU – not to Johnson, Hamilton J’Covan or Mason

Last Year… Justin Mason was selected to “Big 12 All-Defensive Team” – this year? Nothing

Sixth man

You can’t win a 6th man award unless there is a set lineup.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
