Oklahoma Adds Commit No. 6: Danzel Williams
Danzel Williams is listed as a RB/S out of Arlington Martin. He's a little guy at 5'8" but is suppose to be quick. I don't see anything ranking him anywhere so I don't know if he is a hidden gem or if he is a guy that we evaluated but were not interested in pursuing. I didn't even see him on the LSR top 100.
Another Williams attended their junior days: Brandon Williams (so he must not be soild to Baylor). RB Herschel Sims allegedly also attended OU's junior day this weekend despite early rumors that he was not going to attend.

Never Herd Of Him
5’ 8" smallish for RB or S.
I thought we were looking at a WR from Ft. Worth.

Thanks for sharing the link
I noticed the ESPN had him as an athlete vs. RB, and what you linked makes it sound like he very well could be a safety, even if he is a bit undersized.
Has there been any word on Sims and if he did make it or not?
I also read Trey Metoyer did not show, which is suprising because I thought he was very high on OU and a sure commit. Is Metoyer still an OU lean. He was out for a bit of the basketball due to academic issues, so I do not see any chance UT being in the mix for him especially given our haul at WR last year.
Sims and Brandon Williams both made it in
Haven’t heard much from either one of them though. It was a really strange junior day, hardly anything has come out about the weekend.
Metoyer apparently couldn’t get a ride to Norman, but I think he went with a friend to Ole Miss. I believe OU is still on top, but this is no longer looking like the nice, easy recruitment that I had hoped for.

Don't count out guys who say they couldn't get rides to junior days.

On that note, Rivals also has a story that might shed some like on why UT might not be interested
$ Pay article.
He was academically ineligible earlier in the basketball season, which usually seems to be something of a disqualifier for Mack.

Wonder what Baylor thinks about Brandon Williams?
Not a good sign when one of your top commits is taking other Junior Day visits.
I'm thinking..
…they don’t care as long as he signs his name ala Dixon last year. I don’t think they can tell recruits not to take visits b/c they’re lucky enough to have good recruits sign w/ them this early.

Dixon is in JUCO right now btw.. he didn’t qualify. Probably one of the reasons we wouldn’t even consider letting him back because we knew he wouldn’t be able to sign the dotted line.

I would imagine this would hurt him a little bit if he played a full year at the JUCO level
opposed to being a starter in division 1 Football.
Are you sure he didn't qualify?

Espn says he is enrolling in the fall at Baylor to compete at safety.
author may not be up to date, but as far as i know he’s going to navarro college

Baylor’s roster isn’t up to date with 2010’s class.

Interesting--Edrick Loften is on that roster too
So much for his committment to Rocky Top.
I wonder if these guys can get their grades in order to enroll in the fall, or if it is too late. Not sure how the JUCO world works to get eligible.
brandon williams
so why would he go to their junior day but not ours? I would imagine he could see playing time sooner with us.. maybe he’s just not that into us
we may have not acted interested enough, he may have felt insulted at being invited to jr day #2 instead of #1, he may simply want to stay a big fish in a small pond, no one really knows right now, publicly at least.
