Around SBN: SB Nation interviews Jerome Bettis

My Big 12 preview is up at SBNation.com.

No, I did not talk extensively about how Rick Barnes is just slow playing his strong hand this year, but you know, and I know, that's what's happening here.

Maybe.

Okay, probably not.

Based on our play in 2010, I am expecting an exit in the 2nd round to Baylor!

So does Damien have a shot in the NBA? I sure hope so. He has put in a lot of effort and I hope he is rewarded for it.

He'll be a first rounder. I'd say in the 20s.

I’m not sure he’ll have a long pro career as he is in between a small forward and a power forward. He lacks skills in both parts that allows him to specialize in one position.

Depends on the team

As a hybrid 3/4, he needs to be on a team with a complementary player at the other forward spot — someone with more length and a better outside shot. Come to think of it, OKC has a player like that!

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.

Not counting chickens

Anyone know the Baylor game time on Thursday? ESPN2

Sandbagging
Rick Barnes is just slow playing his strong hand this year

This is maybe the best explanation for all of our so-called “woes.” Really, one can dream; can’t one?

Right on! (Right on the bubble, that is.)
