This news can be cast in one of several directions -- Texas fans can see it as positive that Oklahoma finally landed one of the top backs in the class, expected for some time. Another train of thought might hold that the Longhorns missed a major opportunity to continue pursuing Williams even after his commitment to Baylor.
Given my stated preference for Williams above the other two top backs, it's easy to fall into the latter category, but the positive is that this news does reduce the likelihood that Malcolm Brown ends up at Oklahoma and he is, after all, the top target of the coaching staff. -- GoBR
