2011 Rivals 150 - Basketball
Rivals updated their Class of 2011 basketball rankings and Texas commit DeAndre Daniels has earned a 5th star and moved up to #10 overall coming in just ahead of fellow Texas commit Myck Kybongo who is #11. Also representing Texas are Sheldon McClellan at #47 and Julian Lewis at #85. The basketball recruiting machine continues to impress.

I had heard
he was better than his old rankings, but I had no idea the kid was this good. And to have 4 out of the national top 100 is great.

We still have a shot an Nash (4 on the list) and Christmas (9 on the list).
That would be a sick class! Perhaps even better than the Augustin, Durant, James one.
Yeah I have to say
If we end up getting those exact 6 players (or even 5 of them for that matter), it would definitely be Barnes’ best class so far. Probably not even close in the case of finishing with Nash and Christmas. McClellan and Lewis are great because they probably won’t be the stars on that 2011 team and will be sticking around for a while.
This should quite the dump Barnes faction
at least for a while. I know Texas has great facilities and the Austin environment to recruit with, but it takes more than that. Barnes and his staff seem to do a good job of selling the program, his system and convincing the recruits Texas is the place to go. That said, he needs to get deeper into the big dance with the talent he’s recruited to quite the naysayers.
