Taylor Teagarden Makes the Most Out of His Opportunity
Taylor Teagarden was called up today for the Rangers game with the Oakland A's. I remember when Tea played on that national championship team in 2005. He was a good guy and I was super stoked to see him go to the Rangers. He started out well, but this year, went 1-29 in the majors. Today, with other catchers out due to injury, he belted a 2 run shot in the 6th for insurance.
It's great to see Teagarden performing at a high level like he did at Texas.

Yeah, that .037 batting average looked pretty bad
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
Agree, 2 for 31 isn't exactly making the most of your opportunities.

Dude, he wasn't called up for last night's game
He was called up this weekend when the Angels were in town
My bad
wasn’t following too closely, should have said that he actually got a chance to play tonight.
Yet, that really wasn’t the main point. It was more of he got a second chance this season when some other catchers went down with injury and he smashed a 2 run insurance HR.
And to rBr—yea his overall average is still not going to wow anyone, you don’t think after spending most of the season in the minors, then coming back for a game and hitting a HR isn’t making the most out of your opportunity?
Glass still half empty?
You guys are brutal
No wonder there’s only a select few people that create fan posts.
