Earl Thomas - Random Coincidence
I am up in Seattle and completely psyched that Earl Thomas got drafted up here so I have a reason to care about the Seahawks. I was reading this article on Seahawks.com, and it mentions that Earl's position coach on the Seahwaks is Jerry Gray...as in Jerry Gray the UT Safety during the defensive powerhouse years - '83 and '84...as in the guy whose interceptions record that Earl broke at Texas (8). That's kind of random, right?
After Texas, Jerry then went on to post a season-high eight interceptions his second year in the Pros ('86). Dude, what if Earl Thomas leads the NFL in single-season interceptions with 9? Do you think Earl would be all like 'Hey Jerry, what else have you accomplished in your life that I can destroy?'

Look up random.
You kids have been beating that word to death the past couple of years.
Lovely coincidence though.
BTW Jerry Gray has applied to be the DC at Texas
two different times in the mid-Mack Era.
At some point he may well return. With going on 14 years experience – as well as being DC at Buffalo from 2001-5 – he’s one of those Texas-Exes out there with a world of quality coaching and playing experience.
