I beg to differ that statement. He is making the argument that those schools think they should deserve the National Title every year. I’d say the SEC country has delusions of grandeur (sometimes fulfilled) and Texas has extraordinary expectations. Except for maybe Florida, no team in the SEC has had as much success over the last 10 years as Texas when total wins are considered.

But maybe I didn’t read it right. All I know is that SEC fans of schools that made bowl contention in the previous year expect fully to run the table.

I think What he’s saying is that both in the SEC and at Texas, the fans look at the fact that only one team can win it all and still decide that national titles are the only proper measure for success. Everywhere else, fans look at that fact and set the bar a little bit lower

But I also call Media BS. Only 3 teams in the SEC look at a national championship as the expectation. LSU, Florida, and Bama.

 If Auburn, OleMiss, Miss St, Vandy, Tenn, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, or Kentucky make it to the SEC title game and lose, their coach gets a raise and a pat on the back. Maybe you could argue that Georgia demands more, but a BCS bowl would be applauded for sure there.

But there is the media with their SEC over-dramatization. Like every school in the conference feels like Texas does every year? Yeah Right.
