What is my football worth?
Hello die-hards! I have a football from December 1976 that I won in a raffle. It is burnt orange and white. It is signed by
about 85 players including Earl Campbell, Johnny Lam Jones, Steve McMichael, Brad Shearer, and
Darrell Royal right after his last game as coach. (It was also Frank Broyles last game as we beat Arkansas at night.)
Will anyone who collects such items estimate what it is worth? I have been offered $1,500.00.
This is not a solicitation to sell. Thanks.

Nice.
What kinda condition is it in? That’s very important.
I’d also like to know what some of you think I could get for my signed football. Not that I’d sell it. Ever.
It’s the 3/4 white football sold at the stadium, with the Longhorn next to the laces. Signed by every member of the 2005 National Championship team ( those who showed up) including Vince Young’s autograph on the Longhorn. (You have no idea how hard it was to tell every player before Vince that I was saving the Longhorn spot for him, he was near the end of the line.) Mack Brown’s sig right beneath Vinces’. Great condition. Kept in glass case. Love it, and you can’t have it. :) …. But I’d sure like to know what y’all would give for it lol
I didn’t get this reference the first time I read it. I fired up the DVR and watched a random South Park. Sure enough, loch ness monster trying a scare up some cash from Chef’s dad in a 1999 episode. Very strange.

Wonder what a signed football from that mythical 1939 championship would cost?

Right…
You and how many others won that year?

At the football banquet last year
I got Mack to sign one of those 3/4 white footballs. Muschamp signed right underneath. Been working on meeting DKR so he can sign above Mack’s name, but I haven’t gotten a hold of him…
perfect condition
the football is in perfect condition. i have only wiped it of with water over the years. the laces
of course are not bright white.
thanks for your responses!
ut1ou2 for texas-ou weekend
$1500 is probably a pretty fair offer. Like anything that isn’t commoditized, there really is no market price.
A 2005 championship ball is probably still 500-700 or so for a good one… Memorabilia has become a much bigger business, and there are a lot more of those out there. Wait 30 years until the market gets cleaned out by serious collectors, bunches disappear into attics, get destroyed, etc.
