"I don't even know what targeting is," Gideon said. "I was trying to hit him, so I guess, yeah, I was targeting him. It's not going to change the way I play.

Target away

When he tried to put the helmet on the ball I found it hard to believe that he targeted the guy.

make sure they get off your lawn, too

Never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he is, he'll tell you soon enough. If he's not, don't embarrass him.

Barking up the wrong tree.

I’ll be a lawyer within the year.

Never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he is, he'll tell you soon enough. If he's not, don't embarrass him.

Redacted. Blame the personal liability lawyers.

As I am sure you have researched, lawyers have been known to create product services in the justice industry. One of those product services just so happens to be personal liability lawsuits. Kid plays in neighbors yard. Trips over sprinkler head. Kid breaks arm. Kid’s parents sue neighbor for “negligence”. Not saying all lawyers are in this game but through clever marketing, certain lawyers created an atmosphere of “live in fear of being sued” just for having a lawn. I’m just saying. Nothing personal.

No I totally agree

The ambulance chasers give the rest of us a bad name.

I doubt it would have even been targetting if the receiver had kept his feet.

Gideon had lined up to pop him in the chest, dude started falling, helmet to helmet. Oh well. No one should really blame him for a penalty like that.

yep

That is exactly what I said as soon as it happened. You can anticipate (at game speed) that the reciever is going to stumble and lower his head into your path.

Forget the targeting

I liked Gideon’s intensity on the play and his reaction to it afterward.

Targeting?

Maybe targeting is shopping at the wrong big box retail store. Maybe the Ref works at Walmart in the off-season.
