Big XII going out with a whimper?
- Jerrod Johnson sacked 6 times, intercepted 4, Aggies barely escape FIU
- Phenom RGIII finished 16-of-28 passing for 164 yards and ran 14 times for only 21 yards as TCU proved they are the best team in Texas right now
- Missouri needed a last second TD to beat SDSU - at home
- The Land Thieves have looked vulnerable in close wins over Air Force and and Utah State - which team will show up in Dallas?
- Nebraska and OSU are the only teams that have been consistently impressive - against overmatched opponents

Oh and one more – there are no Heisman contenders from the Big XII for this first time since… well, probably since the creation of the conference.
Was this organisation really worth saving?
Still a Blaine Irby fan

Very true, but at least we can get a good laugh at #1.
I even named my son Kolt.

Big 12 might be the best conference right now
The big 12 has three teams in the top 10. Alabama is the only team that looks good in the SEC to me.
it's very top heavy
but doesn’t make it the best conference overall

There is some very good depth
K-State has had a pretty good showing, and I think a number of others are very solid bowl-worthy teams. Other than probably KU and Colorado, does anyone in the conference look like a team that doesn’t belong in today’s (admittedly over-inclusive) bowl season?
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

I saw a rating of the conferences the other night
We were third. SEC was in the lead, and we were barely behind the Big X. With Iowa losing we may have jumped them. We (the front 3) were way ahead of Pac 10 and the others.
"Nebraska and OSU are the only teams that have been consistently impressive - against overmatched opponents"
There are only a few teams in the country who have looked consistently impressive. Oregon, Alabama, Stanford, Arizona, tOSU…
