Seems impossible to me for Gideon to hold up after seeing the ball not caught...
They are trying to treat WRs like QBs in college football these days. Do you think that offical could of thrown the flag any quicker? Seems like he was waiting to call that all night. Looked like a good clean hit to me.

It doesn’t look like Gideon gave the full force of what he has. Otherwise, he probably would have lost his balance a little more than he did.
Or, I could be projecting and wish he hit him harder.
James a little Like Reggie Bush to me
Not on the scale of their misdeeds but on their overrated impact on their respective institutions. USC can blame Reggie for their plight, but the truth of the situation is like OU had 70 players on the payroll of a car dealer and did not get the wrath of the NCAA like USC. They walked around ignoring everything and showing no institutional control and that´s why they got hit. Similiarly, James gets blamed for Leach, but the truth is he acted like an arrogant arse with the administration and their internal politics brought the situation down, and James was just a bit player.

I couldn’t thank Gideon enough for that.
After the game, you could see James walking around on the field smiling and laughing. Probably not the best time to be in a good mood.
