What are you doing this Sat (& weekend)?? + predictions
For those going to Houston, I'm jealous. For those that get to indulge themselves all weekend with college football, I'm even more jealous. Post your condolences please....... ( .....and then make a prediction......)
....why?
1) I will be in Hillbilly Haven.....yes, Arkansas. And if that isn't enough, it will be in Rogers, AR which is a mere 30 minutes from Fayetteville. (And yes, they're "suuuu...eeee piggeee" fans.) Long story short is that I'm in the doghouse even though I'm going and I would be in greater doo-doo if I didn't go.
2) To make matters even worse, on Saturday I will drive from AR to Tulsa (OUsucks) to pick up my brother-in-law at the airport. Arkansas and Oklahoma in the same weekend?!?! "Lord, what did I do to deserve this?!?" The only glimmer of hope is that I will only miss the 1st quarter of the Texas game, at the most.
Due to the family issues that must be attended to, the "said brother-in-law" and I have already made arrangements to conveniently disappear as much as possible to watch as much football as possible.
So, I'm interested in what everyone might be doing this weekend, even though I may get jealous. But just remember, however unpleasant it may seem, it could be worse - you could be in my shoes.
Hook 'em!!! Texas wins 44 to 12.

I will be at Relient stadium, hopeully tailgaitng with fellow BON'ers and drinking a nice Shiner Boch.
I’m sorry about the unfortunate circumstances…especially with having to be in Arkansas…I lived in Ga for a good period of time…I assure you, It was NOT fun.
Garrett Gilbert is My hero!
If there was ever a weekend to be tied up...
this is it…what a yawner of an opening slate of games…THIS weekend is partly what is wrong with the current system. But, I will leave that alone as it will build steam if we are looking at a 12-0 Boise St. squad. Please oh please oh please VaTech…hang an “L” around that gaggle of blue field loving dolts.

Texas 79-0
Da Bulls
Stumpy: It's called the '80s. Ford was president, Nixon was in the White House, and FDR was running this country into the ground. I was bummin' in a hole-in-the-wall town in what is now called "Utah".
Stuck in Knoxville, as always
I’m planning to bar hop until the Texas game is on, stay and watch as much of that as I can before we have to go, then head to Neyland and try and scalp tickets for the UT Martin game. I promised my friend I’d go to see him in the band (He’s the drum major of the pride this year) way back before I knew how much of the Texas game I’d miss.
Wish me luck in one of the most uncomfortable stadiums in college football.
What do we do if somehow Colt McCoy ends up on an NFL team starting against Vince Young?
Oh and
52-10

Go Bevo, I commiserate about the Arkies
I’m constantly antagonized for being a Horns fan up here in DC by an insufferable pint size Arkie who loves to talk trash about Texas and the Big 12. It’s pretty sad, considering he has to ride the coat-tails of the SEC big timers while his school wallows in mud.
Anyway, I’m starting the day by playing a little pick-up football, then it’s Rhodeside Grille in Arlington, VA to watch the UT game and then bar hopping / couch surfing to watch the night games.
I see 45-6 in the cards for the Horns.
