Leach and Switzer
Today on the Sirius 122 Mike Leach show, he had Barry Switzer as his guest. Couple of quick hits from one of the Chief Land Thieves:
- If Mike Leach was coaching at Texas, the team would be on par with Alabama and be a dominant team each year. Also said he cannot explain the Texas offense at all.
- Cannot comprehend why Texas does not have great running backs. Stated he thinks Texas is obnoxious in only focusing on Texas recruiting while Alabama recruits nationally every year.

Dickhead things to say
but I didn’t know he had a radio station on sirius. This makes me wish I had my satellite radio again.
What do we do if somehow Colt McCoy ends up on an NFL team starting against Vince Young?
Texas focuses on recruiting Texas every year because it's the state of Texas
Alabama recruits nationally because it’s the state of Alabama.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

Well said.
Leach is a narcissistic idiot. If he even a had rudimentary grasp of reality, he would figure out that he dug his own grave by moronic behavior. And that doesn’t include the shed incident. It was coming long before that. He is like the guy that can’t figure out why he can’t keep a girlfriend. It is always someone’s fault, never his own.

I would LOVE Leach as an OC...
But, his temperament may not be in line with what Mack requires…that being said, Coach Boom certainly is a bit more high strung that MB.

By temperament, do you mean his risk-taking tendencies?

If that even happened

very true... a case of he said he said...something that MB probably does not wish to get closer to.
I’m on record for Leach coming to Texas. Please.

Leach as our new OC
Switzer doing a little DC time for fun. And Muschamp our new head coach under new AD Mack Brown.—The world has truly gone mad over a little hiccup of a non-conference game.
NOT gonna happen.
Anybody that hires Leach is nuts. He will only run the O and do it just like at Tech. He will let the D be second fiddle….so any DC for him better know that up front. Plus, he will bring baggage to the school. He should have jumped from Tech when he wasn’t happy about the money and he was at his prime. Now he is chuck roast….and will have to prove himself not worth as a coach, but rather take on the task of proving himself as not a complete narcissist a hole that can manage a top tier football team as headcoach working within a real Athletic Departmant. I don’t think he can do that. Some small schooll will get a deal on him….New Mexico or whatever is a good start over place.
I think that is why Leach as an OC makes sense if you can handle his personality...

Who said what?
I thought this was Switzer speaking of Leach. Am I wrong?

That's what I thought too.
I’m a Leacher, but this didn’t sound anything like something he would say. Switzer on the other hand, very much.
