He has taken the job and is our new DC according to espn a few minutes ago. Welcome to the longhorn family. I'm excited to have another young guy on the staff who hopefully can get out there an recruit and bring some fire to this team. Him teamed with the other new defensive staff hopefully can light a fire under the defense and help to be stronger against the run in 2011. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5992859

This quote from the article was interesting:

One of the unfortunate bi-products of Greg Davis is he really covered up how disappointing of a season it was for our defense. I love Will, but his performance this year was a “D”. The NFL talent, the upperclassmen were on the defensive side of the ball and they did not carry or lead the team in 2010. While it will be difficult to replicate the job did in 2008 and 2009 – it is possible Manny is just what the dr. ordered.

Hopefully Won´t Drag OT But

Is anyone else nervous about the lack of announcement on the OC? Is Chryst wavering? What would explain the longer delay on the O side?

It's possible he's trying to find a place to stay

or getting his family situated. This is a big decision for a guy whose life has been centered around Wisconsin

What's this? Mcnabb's been benched and Vick can't have a puppy? Now if Eli could just get coal in his stockings I'd have a Merry Christmas.

Diaz is used to moving around, because he just made a big move to Mississippi

and probably wasn’t completely situated. So the move was a lot easier.

I have to admit...

Before a couple of days ago I had never even heard of this guy, since then I have done as much research as possible to find out who he was. The more I read the more I like the guy.

CJ Johnson four star LB from Mississippi

I see that he has decommited from Mississippi right after Diaz left and I also see that Bo Davis was recruiting him for Alabama!! Wouldnt it make sense that while this kid is playing in the Army allstar game that our two new coaches go down to San Antonio and snag this kid?!?!?!?!? Just a thought….
