Andrew Luck NOT declaring for draft
Wow. Say hello to another 11-1 Season Mr. Luck. Why would you not want to be the #1 draft pick. Could mean Jim H is staying at Stanford

Even if he gets hurt, he could still go #1 the next year

Indeed
And can anyone ever blame a kid for putting their education first? I can’t compare this to Bradford in any way since I don’t know what his major was, but I’m pretty sure a degree in architectural design from Stanford is going to make him a lot more money post-collegiately (and professionally) than owning a car dealership. Also, Stanford will still be good next year, with or without Harbaugh. Did you see the Orange Bowl?
Every time I feel down and depressed, I think of seven simple words by a true wise man, Matt Leinart: "I still think we're the better team" and I usually end up hurting myself by laughing so hard.

Actually...
“Elway used to own five auto dealerships, called John Elway Autos, in the Denver area. He sold them to AutoNation for $82.5 million in 1997” (From Elway’s wiki page)
82 million would take a lot of architecturin’

Touche.
I stand corrected.

My fantasy team thanks him for this
My brain, despite always wanting stand-up guys to finish their eligibility, especially at a position where # of college starts correlates so strongly with NFL success, thinks the guy should chase the $60M.

Different circumstances
Luck comes from money so the usual financial motivations aren’t there. My guess, he’s enjoying college and feels no need to join the “real world” at this time.
Who are you?!
I'm Kick Ass!
huh
I usually want these guys to go for the money…..Bradford is the only case I have seen where getting hurt didn’t negatively affect their draft status….maybe the guy just didn’t want to play for Carolina….I wouldn’t.
Look at Jake Locker
Hes probably kicking himself for not leaving. The thing is, if you wait and lower your draft stock, you may not even get a contract from an nfl team. However, if you get picked first and you become a bust, at least you will have some money. My outlook is that you should always go for the money unless you are positive another year will increase your draft stock. If Stanford goes 1-11 next year, Andrew Luck will not be the first round pick again. Theres so many things that could factor into lowering your draft stock that its not worth it to risk. Defenses could explode in pac -10 (hypothetically), your receivers might suck and drop all your passes, the OL might play bad, the coaching staff asks you to pitch it every time etc
