Texas - Big 12 Sacks Allowed Leader!
17: Sacks allowed by Texas, the most in the Big 12.
Obviously, this is a continuing trend for our poor offensive line play and a result of high level recruits not panning out as expected.

Don't forget TFL
We allow 7.67 TFL per game, 101st in the country and the worst in the Big 12 as well… barely edging out K-State.
Event more important than the O-Line might be a big TE.
Right now our TE’s are undersized “flex” TE’s. A talented TE could play immediately next year, I bet.
Add a TE or two as well as an couple OT’s, and our line will shape up pretty quick. But those are must-have’s in this next class.
McFarland?
Of course Austin Sefarian-Jenkins is having a wonderful start to his career at U-dub. I know a lot of people here said Texas didn’t offer him as a TE because he wouldn’t be able to play it, but it sure seems like he can.

A quarterback that can dump it would be a good way to avoid some of these.
Between Gilbert, McCoy, & Ash, we’ve got some QBs that currently have slow recognition of what the defense is giving him and they tend to hang onto the ball too long or try to make something happen with their feet, which they are not Vince-enough to do, yet. However, with maturity, comes good QB play. It’s only a matter of time ’til they & a renovated offensive line turn this bad stat around.
Holding on to the ball too long has been almost as much to blame as the OL is, I would say

There were plenty of instances in which he held on to it for well past what a QB's clock would allow

We are also last in the Big 12 with 7 sacks.
A&M and OU lead with 26.
Do not be distracted by what you see, but be transformed by what you believe.
why did we throw 40 passes against osu.the o-line cannot pass block.the o-line cannot pass block.malcolm brown averaged 7 yards per carry yet only carried twice in the 4th quarter.harsin has to do a better job of eliminating negative plays by the offense.true freshman qb and a bad o-line do not equate to much success in the passing game.
But what about the o-line?
can they pass block?
Greg Davis haikus; a lot like his offenses; always go sideways.
