Here's reason no. 349748 to love Kevin Durant -- playing flag football after being picked up by a frat team at Oklahoma State.

Nice

Just don’t blow out a knee on the intramural field, KD.

Best guy ever

What an incredible person. I saw on Twitter he said he was bored with the NBA lockout and wanted to run around then asked if there was a flag football game anywhere. Guess he found one!

Lockdown Corner

I thought it was hilarious to see the other team try to complete a pass against him. The receiver was only giving up about a foot of height.

Should employ the Megatron strategy

Just toss it up 4 times, he’ll get at least one for a first down. Repeat.

I thought he was playing with kids at first.

Who the hell throws a jump ball in the corner of the endzone against Durant?

by UT_BKC on Nov 1, 2011 12:09 PM CDT reply actions

Somebody who wanted to be known as the QB who threw a perfect jumpball over KD...

…just like that guy who dunked over Lebron…

I saw that the other day

And I love the fact that in that article they basically called him the guy who dunked on Lebron because nobody would know who he is.

Crawford was a pretty solid player in his year at Xavier

I would think people would at least remember this game:

Kwame Cavil, Roy Williams, Limas Sweed, Dan Buckner, ...

I think the problem is that we’re not signing enough Jordan Shipleys & Ryan Broyles’. Me love ’em scatback WRs.

by robthecob on Nov 1, 2011 3:19 PM CDT up reply actions

And what was wrong with any of them? Last I checked, Roy and Limas were pretty damn good here at UT. And Buckner was a Fr and Soph while here. His problems were off the field. He is one of the few bright spots in Az.

Take it easy, bro!

I loved all those guys but I just prefer small & quick WRs as opposed to big & loping. The big ‘uns seem to have trouble with separation and their hands. I’ve always loved watching WRs like Shipley, Cosby, Broyles, Peter Warrick, Mike Adams, & Drew Pearson subtly dominate games because they’re so much harder to stop, in my view, as long as you have a decent QB. The big guys are only better at jump balls …

Really, if a WR has great hands (Cavil), quick-shortburst-speed, ability to run a route correctly, and the ability to separate – then I don’t care what size he is.

Doesn’t he have football eligability left, just like a pro baseball player can come back to play FB (Quan)? We could use him at WR next year.

Boy throws a nice deep ball.

Maybe he can take some snaps in the QB rotation.
