Even if he starts and plays well, Andy Reid will do something else that we could not fathom until that point.

Yup, called it, no way Vick will last the whole year
Hopefully VY will get a couple of good games in before the year is out and go somewhere where he can start.
Because we're Texas and we're evil. DUH.
VY or not, it's normally impossible for me to root for the Eagles...
…but since this would really, really help the Cowboys, I’ll give in. Go Vince!
Great shots of the Tower. Great shots of kids. Available in DFW and throughout Texas.
Blame Texas!
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel offered a public apology Thursday after his overnight arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.
Boone County Sheriff’s Office records show that deputies pulled Pinkel over in Columbia, Mo., and jailed him Wednesday night on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was released from the Boone County Jail after posting a $500 bond.
I'm confused
Why’s he being jailed on the suspicion of a dwi? Why not say “he got a dwi”? So is he charged with one or not?
TEXAS FIGHT
Not sure he can do that in one game, but it would be a nice start
To me, he’s the greatest college football player ever to play the game and his inability to translate that greatness on the pro level has always been frustrating.

Do you think
he’s football’s version of Christian Laettner?

Interesting question
Never thought about it that way…Laettner always reminded me of that rare kid in school who was mentally and physically more mature than the majority of his peer group. Usually, you don’t see both. You have the kids that has the physical gifts, but his head is still in the clouds. Or the kids who has had the competitive light come on in his head, but isn’t big enough, quick enough, strong enough to execute.
Put another way, Laettner was that kid that dominated Track and Field Day in grade school winning just about everything, but by high school, was just another solid athlete. In Laettner’s case took that mental and physical maturity edge and leveraged it all the way through college.
Does that somehow explain VY’s phenomenal success at the CFB level versus his relatively average output in the pros? Maybe. I still believe he’s more physically gifted and too much of a football genius not to go down as a great player in the pros too, but certainly time is running out to prove that.
I also think he’s still maturing mentally…some off the field transgressions and the unfortunate way in which he exited Tennessee lead me to believe he’s still got some growing up to do. And if that’s the case, hopefully in five or ten years, we’re comparing VY to Brett Farve who also had a rough start before figuring things out.

Awww, now you're just bein' mean!
Laettner was legit in college: Skill, Physical gifts, Height, Attitude, Intelligence -and terrific system, terrific coach, and surrounded by terrific talent. I personally think that his arrogance got the best of him in the pros. It seemed like he never put in the work in the weightroom to make himself better & he always seemed to have a prima dona attitude on his team. That’s pure speculation, though, even though I liked him at Duke.
VY, however, overwhelmed his HS competition then evolved into a perfect athlete QB in the perfect system for him in college. If you liked him as a Junior, you would have been blown away with him as a Senior. I still think he’d be a fantastic pro QB if he could find the right coach with the right system. He is still a supreme physical specimen w/ inarguably supreme talent & mobility – even in comparison to pro defenders in The League. I just really think he still has the ability to write a new dynamic chapter in the existence of NFL QBs, ala Randall Cunningham, Dan Marino, or Brett Favre. I just hope it starts happening before he’s 30.
Young vs. Leinhart
Should be interesting to see how the second string 1st rounders pan out…..I hope they both do well.
We're Texas, We're not OK.
When I began reading "Vince Young to start..."
…my heart skipped a beat, thinking the headline would end with “….against K-State.” Snap.
I am forced to conclude that God made Texas on his day off, for pure
entertainment, just to prove that all that diversity could be crammed into one
section of earth by a really top hand
Would that not be just freakin AWESOME?
If a man is alone in the woods and he speaks, if no one hears him,,is he still wrong?
It most certainly would, cowgirl.
See ya later, alligator and sheep-mater.

Vince never actually won as the starting QB against Kansas State.
They didn’t play ‘em in his Jr. & Sr. years and Chance Mock started against ’em in 2003. Although, VY still had about 90 yards of rushing in that game and scored the go-ahead TD w/ 5 minutes to go. But yeah, you’re right, I think having VY in this game would definitely trump KState having their great QB.
Now they're saying Vick is going to start
