What is not heard here is the LHB announcer’s entire statement before playing. The announcer stated that our two universities have a great rivalry, are friends, have great respect for each other, and may the Longhorn Spirit and the Spirit of Aggieland never end.
This is a poignant reminder of the good that the rivalry could be as compared to the most recent bickering over money and what is still a game at the end of the day!

I was at that game. I remember it so well. What the hell happened in these 12 years? We go from this amazing tribute to the intentionally maimed Longhorn they are planning to walk out at half-time this year as their tribute to us. What the hell happened?

Don’t call it that very often but this called for it. With regards to the rumor of the Longhorn, the rumor about the Longhorn is BS. Please research before hating.
