This season the amount of excitement for Texas football was more than i have seen it in a very long time. From the new coaching staff, to all of the impact freshman coming to the 40 acres, this year had, and still has the potential to be a very successful year for the longhorns. I don't know about most of you guys, but an 8-4 regular season would be more than satisfactory to me. However, it frustrates me to see the Texas Quarterbacks under perform so greatly, especially over the last 2 weeks, considering the talent around them. I know that Jaxon Shipley, who is probably the best receiver on the roster is out, and that is a major factor, but this is border line ridiculous. Its disappointing when you see other quarterbacks around the country with less talent around them, with inferior coaching staffs out perform the texas quarterbacks. For example, Utah State's Quarterback Chuckie Keeton, a true freshman, has passed for 1200 Yards with 11 TDs and 2 Ints, and has a quarterback rating of 137.4 on the season. Next, Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville has completed 65.8% of his passes for 1614 Yds and 9 Tds. Meanwhile Case Mccoy and David Ash have combined for 1505 yds, 7 Tds, 8 Ints, completing 59% of their passes. It seems to me that Texas best option at quarterback is john paul floyd. Just kidding haha. But really, IMO, Connor Brewer has to enroll in the spring, and be THE GUY for the Longhorns next season.
