Congrats on your win. I thought I'd be more upset after losing the game, but all I felt was a tremendous since of relief that the series is over. I thought the officiating in the game was absolutely atrocious, but I don't blame it for the loss; I'm not PB, I don't give refs credit for losses. I blame the loss on the idiotic decision to play prevent on the final drive against a QB who can't pass the ball, and the blame for that decision goes to Tim DeRuyter. This A&M team has found different ways all season to lose games they should win, and they found a new one Friday night. It is disappointing to lose to team with inferior talent when you know you should beat them, but that will be the legacy of this A&M team, because they did it five times throughout the course of the season. It's like I told friends after the game, "We have some incredibly talented individual players on this team, and I really enjoy watching them play, but I don't know if we have ever had an A&M football team I have collectively hated more." As a group, this is probably the mentally weakest football team I've ever seen us field, and that is just disappointing.
Anyways, congrats on the win. It was nice to see Blaine Irby get a touchdown catch, even if it was against my team. You can't say enough about that kid's ability to overcome adversity.
