What a gut wrenching football loss. Being raised Catholic, I wondered driving home whether I had wanted the victory so much that it was my fault for the loss. Catholics call these lessons Venial Sins, and like many of you, I must have wanted it too much. My Mom used to tell me thinking it was as bad as doing it, and believe me, I really wanted the win so I'm likely off to Purgatory. Judging from some of your mail though, I believe there's an even warmer place some of you prefer to send me, and I don't mean Hawaii.
$Bill knows why the Aggies lost and it was all his fault.

I really really really want to Ken Tremendous one of his blog posts.

No
No, this can’t be real. No way. If it is, I may have laughed my last laugh. There can be nothing funnier than that right there. Not possible.

I read it and thought "wow, they're still really sad at TexAgs"
I’m still in disbelief that a university official publicly said that.
undefeated in Sun Belt play
Right after that, he also said ...
“We all need to remember our coaches and players put us in position to win all our games this season, and once we take the emotion out of what went wrong, we will find a way to fix it.”
What the heck is that supposed to mean?! Is he throwing the fans under the bus since the coaches & players were in the right position? Who else would be to blame?! And, if aggy is w/out emotion, what are they going to do with all that “burning desire” to beat “t.u.”? I’ve analyzed this statement repeatedly and I still can’t figure out what he was trying to say. Like you said, I still can’t believe that a university official publicly said that. What a monkey! Can you ever imagine Deloss saying something like this?!
Steve Johnson knows exactly what $Bill is talking about.
My source close to the program can beat up your source close to the program!

Red McCombs
according to TxAgs, Red McCombs says UT has to play aggie and that is that. The game will go on next year. And Dodds has no real say and will have to cave in.
So see, maybe we will get to keep getting these laughs, cause Aggie just Won’t go away.
well, i read it on TxAgs, so it has to be true, right?
Please God, NO.
If a man is alone in the woods and he speaks, if no one hears him,,is he still wrong?
No .....
I think we need a break, at a minimum. They are playing up when they play us. Our team is on the way up, too, and they are heading into the wilderness.
I will change my legal name to "I. M. Harsin" if Texas scores on a Statue of Liberty or Hook-and-Ladder vs. OU."

McCombs
I appreciate him for putting his name on the school I graduated from, but his contribution ends before it reaches the green of Jamail Field. Lets see what The King has to say about this aggy situation first.
Re-read that post
It says: “according to TxAgs….”
So, I wouldn’t be too concerned at this point about Red actually having said that. And, even if he did, I think he would have to find a slightly smaller school to boss around.
Just sayin’

Red McCombs is a Putz
I should know, I’m a veep in his company. He will never know my real identity … wait, what’s that about that Toole guy??
"This is a devastating loss for our team," Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman said.
Texas A&M safety Trent Hunter, who had the 15-yard penalty on the Longhorns' winning drive, said players were crying in the locker room after the loss. "This is by far the most painful loss I've had since I've been here," Hunter said. "It's one of those things that we're going to have to live with for a while since Texas and Texas A&M aren't playing again."

Sure....bank on that TxAgs
Ummm….don’t think so, don’t think Red McCombs reports to TxAgs, and don’t thinks Dodds would cave to Red McCombs.
I bet Dodds would tell McCombs to that it will happen next year over his cold dead body. And McCombs can go tell that to TxAgs.
$Bill did cause the loss. He has now admitted his problem, but he should really come clean about the LIES that he told and give back the extra money the Ags took from CU/NU exit fees. He’s the reason Texas won’t play Aggie…..so how about he fully confesses and repents, then Dodds can think about it a while.
The aggies wanted away from the TYRANNY of Texas, and they haven’t even left yet but can’t handle not playing us. Sorry, you made your bed, guess what you get to do now. GTFO

Well, let's all give thanks
that DeLoss didn’t want us to win. Since $Bill wanting to win too much caused the loss, that is.
So remember folks, whatever you do, do not want your team to win. Or if you do, just want it a little bit. Because COTG (that’s Crazy Old Testament God, to those of you who don’t read EDSBS) will SMITE YOU if you want too much to win.
Or, maybe God just hates aggies. I think that’s more likely, myself.

Just today I was wondering what COTG was.

The picture of COTG
looks like it’straight out of Monty Python.
It took me awhile to figure out what the hell COTG meant, even after seeing him show up in multiple posts, so yeah, I understand.
I’ll see if I can find a link.

God hates them
with Kharmatic Smite. Clearly, there is no other answer. Poor $Bill, but why in the world would he think that he will land in Purgatory for his sins. He did lie and in a way, steal money from the Big XII that aggie should give back, so I’m not so sure Purgatory is his exit on the down ramp.
Enjoy the $EC aggies.

Oh wait, they already did that. They can just consider getting away from the mean awful biased Big XII refs a going away present!!! Enjoy.

Seriously? That’s just pitiful. That’s one big way in which they don’t fit in with the SEC at all.
Another classic Byrne newsletter moment
Dateline 9/7/11:
—This would not be a good Wednesday Weekly column unless I mentioned the bats that call Kyle Field home. We had reports of 15 dead bats, four live bats, and one scary spider in public areas. Reminds me of the Little Miss Muffet nursery rhyme. We watched for the bat migration at sundown, but if it happened, we didn’t see it. They probably stayed to watch the band and the game, just like us.

Is that their problem?
They have 15 dead bats and they don’t know that rabid dead bats are a BAD THING? This actually explains a lot.
