Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I wish Texas would go back to a natural grass field at Royal-Memorial Stadium. I know the official arguments for switching to FieldTurf by the council (based on a slippery playing surface), but it's just not the same as grass. Besides, the players and coaches, when asked back then, didn't want the switch. It was a money decision in the end, that is to save on upkeep and to host more (high-school) events. Ignoring Michigan and Ohio State among others who now play on FieldTurf, most of the top SEC teams have stayed true to grass. I wonder why there wasn't more discussion about it.
Nevertheless, I'm so glad to see the Longhorns playing well lately, especially the running game.
