Awesome story about Bryan Harsin
Awesome story on why and how he chose Texas. A lot about his personal life and history as a coach.

I'm giddy..
…after reading that. I can’t wait to see two students of the game (Harsinwhite) install an actual offense that puts players into the best situation. Harsin seems like he’s ready for the challenge ahead.
As the article indicates, they're replacing the guy who had the top nine offenses in school history
While they may or may not surpass him, let’s not pretend that it’s going to be any easy trick to out-perform what Greg Davis did at Texas, or that he simply didn’t know how to run an offense.

The Greg Davis legacy.
How tarnished will is legacy be if Maj. Bryan Apple Harsinwhite comes out and puts up an all-time offense in the record books? Especially in light of all the message board people telling me GG wouldn’t start on a middle school team and this team not having a single playmaker on offense. If I were GDGD, I’d be heading back down to NOLA and putting voodoo hexes on this thing and be sweating bullets every Saturday until GG, Dj Monroe, and the running game graduates.

Yes, it'll definitely tarnish GD's legacy if there's a steep, upward spike in offensive production
Although it’s not like most people really have an accurate perception of that legacy anyway.

The odds are in Harsin's favor
Last year was a perfect storm. Almost everything that could go wrong did. Statistically, and I’m only guessing, the odds are that it will even out somewhat this year, question is how much. We won’t lead the nation in scoring but I think Harsin will utilize what he has here, including GG.
GD didn’t have the tools he needed for his offense (i.e. a Heisman QB and/or RB) whereas Harsin has all sorts of tools for his concept of offense. He’s looking at 3 or 4 QB’s, 8 or 9 WR’s, 2 or 3 TE’s and 3 or 4 running backs as well as a number of good, young OL that would have made rosters on his Boise teams. Guys like Brock Fitzhenry and DeSean Hales could actually have a role.
It will take time. From the article, gread read, it sounds like installing a lot of the offense will be a work in progress during the season. I’ll predict a slow start for the offense with steady improvement during the course of the season. With GG at the helm, he’s a smart kid who will thrive in Harsin’s offense.

Yeah, it wouldn't be hard to improve on GD's worst year by far
But I mean an upward spike from the level at which he’s had that offense, which was 5-10 much of his Texas career.
