There is not a situation or individual that cannot be improved by the addition of chocolate.
From what I hear
1st offense and his character has never really been questioned before. I could be wrong, but it sounds like it is not a case of the “trouble making athlete finally getting caught and needing to be taught a serious lesson” but closer to the “kid that never gets in trouble doing something out of character and getting busted”.

At the end of the day, a DUI is a DUI no matter if he’s a trouble maker or a perfect guy. I know we all make mistakes but I would have thought 5 games this year and maybe 5 more next season. Im not questioning Alexis as a person cause I know he’s a good guy but 2 games seems a little weak to me.

But the punishment for the DUI should not be the same for all offenders. That was my point. As a coach myself, I know certain kids have built up enough character equity to not warrant the same punishment as other kids for the same offense.
10 games spanning 2 seasons for a first screw up…. damn.

I’m all about enforcing discipline, but ending his season might not be a good idea, depending on the details. This may not be quite like the star DE at Florida who was so piss-drunk that he was passed out in the turning lane.
Then we'll write our own bible, with less Sodom and more Gomorrah.

Possibly I’m just a bitch. If you’ve buried someone you love that was killed by a drunk driver the character of the driver has very little to do with anything.

drunk driving is horrible
but one bad decision shouldn’t cancel out 100 good ones.
