Ha

Sad thing is he is a great coach by most accounts. He should have left on his own last year before all the stuff was found out. Calipari-style.

Glad I picked Mich

But I am truly shocked at this blowout.

Michigan not only won without making a free throw

They won by 30. That’s a statistical anomaly that we probably won’t see for quite some time again.

that is truly amazing.

go blue.

I wish I could play little league now... I'd kick some fuckin' ass.

Kansas' road to the Elite 8

1st Round – 16 Boston U
2nd Round – winner of 8 UNLV / 9 Illinois
3rd Round – winner of 12 Richmond / 13 Moorehead State

Unbelievable. Now they just need St. Peters to go on a run and they can sleepwalk all the way to Houston.

A little sloppy at the end, but GREAT WIN by the ’Horns.

Nova and Geoge Mason

TNT. Two pt game. 8.5 sec left..

Big time three ball by Hancock.

Nova

getting a huge break here. Tie ball and they keep it.

Then timing issue and Jay Wright gets an extra timeout.

Big time stop by George Mason

Gus Johnson on the call.

And Nova’s losing streak continues into next season. 16-1 on Jan. 15th. Ouch!

Nova

16-1 to 21-12.

Yall still want Jay Wright? Heck, Rick Barnes is a year ahead of Wright. He already led a team through a February and March collapse.

Memphis dominating Zona

Athleticism is too much for Wildcats right now.

Aggies on torrid pace

No points for first seven minutes.

7 points in next five.

Yet, only down 12-7.

12-12, 7:35 left in 1st half

looks like an entertaining game to watch… not

Aggies tied up

12 all.

Without Chris Singleton, FSU is as average as is A&M.

Zona/Memphis

win or lose, this is the kind of game we wanted to see. There will be tired legs on Sunday.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 18, 2011 4:01 PM CDT reply actions

since our game wasn't exactly a boxing match

we were up and then they made it close. All I’m saying is you’d rather have Zona/Memphis play a game like this instead of a blowout

by goingforthecorner on Mar 18, 2011 4:12 PM CDT up reply actions

Wow

Horrible call. Should have been a tie ball.

by TheElusiveShadow on Mar 18, 2011 4:07 PM CDT reply actions

Hate to see the refs assert themselves in these games.

Tigers press and force tieup. Called time out by Zona. Turrible call.

but this NAPA ad is TURRIBLE!

I can't watch this game live (just watching the gamecast)...

How did Arizona look?? Was Memphis playing above their heads? Would we have beat this AZ team pretty easily?

by Heart of a Muschampion on Mar 18, 2011 4:20 PM CDT reply actions

Both teams with A LOT of length

Zona went cold half way through the 2nd period. But they came back and it was back and forth for the balance of game. Tigers have a lot of speed. We are going to have to pull Zona’s Williams out of the paint. Some how…Some way.

Aggies just 7-17 from the free throw line

ouch. Every point is critical in a defensive slugfest.

FSU just went on top 32-31 under 14 min

50-42 FSU, under 2:30

this game is probably over. Not sure how A&M could score 8 points in this amount of time given how the game has gone

by goingforthecorner on Mar 18, 2011 5:17 PM CDT reply actions

Anyone else tend to root for the Aggies in games that don't matter to us?

They are our little brother after all.

On the other hand, I will never, ever root for OU, under any circumstances.

No, never

53-42, under 1:30

yeah it’s over, your first “upset” of the day.

A&M’s (meaningless) streak of consecutive years winning at least one tournament game comes to a halt.

FSU vs Notre Dame will be a classic matchup of offense vs defense.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 18, 2011 5:23 PM CDT reply actions

Now we can stop talking about that stupid NCAA win streak

And focus on the fact that Turge will never get us to that NEXT level.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 18, 2011 5:31 PM CDT up reply actions

Is this our worst team since 0-16?

A&M

Teaches me right picking the Aggies: they just cost me my third loss of the tournament.

by Allaha on Mar 18, 2011 5:31 PM CDT reply actions

I told horndudette to change her pick to FSU

but noooooo, now she’s tied with me. Otherwise, she’d be in second place. Had she also taken my advice on G. Mason, she’d be in first.

I am currently tied for 1st, but

I am feeling a bit like Libya right now: sure, things looked unexpectedly promising for a while, but in the near future I expect to get pounded.
