Huggins is 8-1 vs Calipari I believe
Calipari Kryptonite
Kentucky may be more talented but WV just seems tougher.
Really do like Mazzulla at PG.
isn't that a huggins trademark
tough teams that are hard to play against
Who are you?!

Toughness, Moxy what every you want to call it...
Huggins teams have always had it. Cinci (Kenyon Martin), K-state and now WVU

I really liked some of his Cinncy teams
especially the Van Exel Final Four team

Honestly I think Kentucky is better at every position and this game has done nothing to disprove it
Simply a matter of grit and experience for WVU, with some help on the foul calls
wordz of wizdom

Just saw on Twitter.
Tristan just told a group of reporters that he’s coming back for his sophomore season rather than going pro. People say that all the time and change their minds, but with Myck coming to town, there’s a reason to start to believe it.
now (periodically) tweeting @BZatBON
Jordan says the same thing:
Per Kirk Bohls:
Texas’ Jordan Hamilton and Tristan Thompson both said they’re coming back to school next season. … Texas’ Jordan Hamilton said he promised his parents he’d get an education and said Texas “can be a great team next year.”
now (periodically) tweeting @BZatBON
Hmm
I wish we weren’t talking about this while Texas is still in the tournament. But I guess reporters have to ask.
I’d be shocked if Hamilton came back.
Surprised but not shocked if Thompson returns.
--AW--
Damn that would be epic if they both returned. Would generate serious enthusiasm.

For Jordan Hamilton
Can’t get into seminary without an undergrad degree. He said earlier this season if he weren’t playing basketball then he would be a preacher.

Florida up 6
Blocked dunk and back to back three balls. Gators grab biggest lead of game.
6 min left.

Gators move on
Score final 7 pts of the game to win by 8, cover, and make me lose my bet.
Awesome.

I just got killed by Florida
I felt good about UCLA over Florida.
The consequence: I went from being 98% down to 86% and for the first time this tournament am off the BON leaderboard.
Come on, Richmond!
Morehead looks toothless so far. Spiders got some bite.
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
Can't tell you how amped I am
Three Virginia mid-majors still playing. Looks like Richmond has a nice shot at extending their season. VCU and George Mason have a tough draw tomorrow. Pretty darn exciting around these parts.

COOL BEANS!
The University of Richmond advances to the Sweet 16. Quite an accomplishment for an extremely small private school.
GO SPIDERS!

They looked good too.
Can’t wait to see if they can hang with Kansas.
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
Excellent
Richmond wins!
The consequence: I went back to 98% from 86% and (temporarily) have returned to the BON leaderboard.
Come on, SDSU and Pitt!
come on man, root for Butler over Pitt, screw your meaningless bracket
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 6:42 PM CDT up reply actions
as opposed to what,
rooting for meaningless Butler?
It’s tournament time, where for wholly selfish - and inconsequential- reasons we arbitrarily choose our allegiances and cheer accordingly!
Talk about cinderalla
Temple just tied SDSU at 54 under 0:40 remaining. This tournament just keeps giving.

Let's be real here
is Temple really a cinderella vs SDSU. Even as a 2 seed, SDSU is a cinderella type of team.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 7:05 PM CDT up reply actions
Well, they are not a Butler.
But did anybody have SDSU falling in Round 3?
- follow me @ http:/twitter.com/TXStampede
Bad luck for the Owls
Had SDSU dead to rights and the rebound ricocheted off an Owl sitting on the floor out of bounds. SDSU with ball with 24 seconds left.

Huge steal and layup, Temple up 61-58
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 7:13 PM CDT reply actions
The pressure might be getting to the cannibals
But it’s tied with 1:31 left. Great game.

Drive, shoot or pass option if you go with Leonard...
A post up limits you way to much
Temple has conceded the offensive rebound
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
Legs are tired for sure
Jumpers falling short… Need to drive
Looks like two boxers hanging on each other in the 12th

I just checked Pomeroy
Wow. Oakland’s offense must have really killed our adjusted defensive efficiency number. Now we’re only ranked #5 in defense even though we’ve been #1 pretty much all year.

Fun to watch
for sure. That last trey by Mack was amazing, with no shot clock left after the pump fake.
J'What can Brown tweet for you?
I hope we win comfortably tomorrow. My local Walgreen's is out of Malox.

Pitt runs out the shot clock, EPIC FAIL!
Here we go, Butler has 8.9 seconds to win the game. I’m shaking.

Would hate to be Pitt and their fans right now
they are staring right in the face of another tournament letdown. This would be the worst obviously.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:15 PM CDT reply actions
I hate this. What a brilliant play call by Butler
but that is a foul. Period. Just fucking dumb.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:18 PM CDT reply actions
Hate a loose ball foul on that
but hey he should not have gotten that close
Yeah. That is going to haunt him. Don't like that call at all.
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
Has to be made, just a dumb foul
can’t get that close. Especially in that situation when you know Pitt would need a prayer.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:20 PM CDT up reply actions
Yeah both were fighting for the ball and he had his hands in the air and was trying to back up
Still, you’re right. He shouldn’t have been that close. Lucky for him Pitt committed a far worse foul.
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
But that foul doesn't happen if Gilbert Brown makes that 2nd free throw
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:23 PM CDT reply actions
I dont know that you can knock Pitt
This group of players at Butler is a tough out for anybody
Don't forget UConn plays Cincy
so one more will be eliminated tonight
Who are you?!
I'm Kick Ass!
by TexasGarcia37 on Mar 19, 2011 8:34 PM CDT up reply actions
See, this is why I wanted Pitt in my bracket
at this point you can almost expect Pitt underachieving in the tournament.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:25 PM CDT reply actions
I know it's a different program but this is why I was against Pitt

Wonder if Gordon Haywood is regretting his decision to go pro early
you can’t beat a moment like this
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:26 PM CDT reply actions
A foul 92 feet from the basket. That will be tough to forget.
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
Crazy that Butler has another legitimate chance at a Final Four
Brad Stevens for President
Madness
How could Pitt foul with no time left under its own basket?!?!?
Out of curiosity, given it was in the act of “shooting” then why isn’t it 3 free throws?
Apparently, everyone had Pitt, as by missing the call my bracket fell only from 98.2% to 97.8%.
Come on, Zags!
It didn't hurt my current score much,
but I had them in the F4, so PPR dropped by a hundred. But I’m loving Butler being in the running again.
J'What can Brown tweet for you?
He missed the 2nd shot on purpose
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." DKR
BYU back up 17 with under 9 to go
Jimmer with a deep 3 after a brutal crossover
Wiscy up 34-27
I couldn’t care less about conference pride. Hope KSU gets blown out. The “WE OWN TEXAS” chants kill me inside.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 8:56 PM CDT reply actions
Pullen going OFF
5-5 from three and has 25 of KSU’s 40 points. Once he cools down, Wisconsin should be able to pull away with this.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 9:35 PM CDT reply actions
Physical play from KSU's bigs + Pullen being hot
Kansas St. could beat practically anyone in the tournament with this recipe.
Wisconsin just hit a three, down 55-52, 6 min left
by goingforthecorner on Mar 19, 2011 9:58 PM CDT reply actions
Sighh... I love college basketball, but
I just too much stupidity. Another dumb foul. This time a Wiscy player fouls Pullen while shooting a three.
Pullen misses one though. Wiscy up 1

Can I say this?
Frank Martin is a POS. Phew, just had to get that off my chest.
- follow me @ http:/twitter.com/TXStampede
Wisconsin is surprisingly popular
I did not have Wisconsin advancing . . . consequence: down from 89.9% to 80.9%, and falling to a distant 21 in BON standings.
Even a UConn win — which is far from certain — will not help much.
Tough day
Fell from 98.2% to 82.4%. Ouch!
Good news: all of my teams are alive for tomorrow.
GO TEXAS!
