Billy Clyde Gillespie
expected to be announced as new Texas Tech coach later today, per Jason King of Yahoo Sports.
--AW--
This would be awesome
especially the trip to College Station he would make every year.
But seriously, I think he is a good coach and would help the depth of the Big 12.
An Aggie friend of mine said that some of the message boards are having Gillespie love-fests because of Turgeon’s lack of recruiting and A&M’s early exit.

Butler has a favorable draw
They have a comparatively easy road — Wisconsin; BYU-Florida winner — to Houston.
Why couldn't we have had Florida's 2 seed
I will say it again F. U. committee. We would have played ucla, byu, and then butler or wisconsin. That is a hell of a lot easier than oakland, arizona, duke, uconn/sdsu. Jimmer is lighting it up but I would have liked our size against their front line- although that’s whag gonzaga said last night. Also ucla is not as good as arizona and duke may be the best number 1 if irving is healthy, and if we survive that we get Kemba. All things considered our region is much harder as we all thought when this thing started. I hope our defense shows up today because if it doesn’t soon we’re screwed.
the road ahead
I believe our Longhorns have a very real chance to bring home the Championship! Hook ’Em Horns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could North Carolina have drawn a worse second round matchup?
Washington matches up so well with them
I think they will be okay though
UNC has been playing lights out as of late

defensive rebound => pushed it => three ball
rinse and repeat
I hope thats not the first time we see that today

disagree
early in shot clock. unnecessary. work the ball around get a good shot and continue to push back the NC run.

That's their style though. Run it up and down and turn it into a track meet.
I don’t see anyone ever trying to post up for UW.
don't know
don’t watch much Huskie basketball. just from a game situation point. when you know you aren’t going to get the calls you need to make sure you value every shot.

True..
I think UW’s best chance to win is to turn this game into an up and down track meet. Then hope UNC starts taking quick outside shots instead of working the ball inside. UW did a good job of this in the 1st half. Not sure UW can stay that hot from the outside in the 2nd half though.

Harrison Barnes is like a mini-Durant
watch out when he finds his shot.

What a fantastic game
March is not disappointing us this year, that’s for sure. Pretty sure I’ll have a heart attack if our own game is this exciting.
You ain't hurt...
Hopefully not
I trust Gary can contain D-Will. Hope we can get him in foul trouble.

I hope we play more defense than either of these teams are.
Seems to be the way of March. Offenses light it up.

Kenpom picked this one
as the thrilliest of the day. We’re a ways down the list, but I’m with you.
J'What can Brown tweet for you?
Interesting that he thinks KU/Illinois will be a close one
Despite a 19-13 regular season record, he had Illinois in the top 20 of his ranking. Probably due to SOS. He has the Big 10 as the best conference (sorry Big East fans).

Looks like Larry Drew leaving the program
was the best thing that happened to UNC

Holy shit!
If Washington pulls this off, I’ll be really impressed.

He was last to touch it on the last two out of bounds as well.
The first was incidental, the second was bad.

BON crashed on me
anyways, nice to have a guy like Henson whose length can ruin a designed play.

wow!
What an entertaining game.
I have UNC going to the Final Four . . . which made for a tense last few minutes!
West Coast
I assume b/c the games are on the west coast that they’ll be starting after the other regional games. No idea if they’d put Duke / Texas before or after UConn / SDSU. Duke is a huge draw but so is Kemba.
--AW--
Really?
So the second game would start after 11pm eastern time?
now (periodically) tweeting @BZatBON
Perhaps not
Just checked the website and it says tip times will be announced on Monday.
You ain't hurt...
Wow refs screwed up!
Washington should’ve gotten 1.2 seconds to shoot a three instead of 0.5.
Refs being lazy again

Barkley going off about Wash's turnovers... but they only had 13...

With Kyrie,
Duke really have a lot of offensive weapons—size, three points bombers, and the ability to beat you off the bounce.
--AW--
Still missing a post player though. They live and die on their outside shooting.
If Duke struggles from the outside, you have a chance to beat them.
Post scorer yes
Yeah, they do rely too much on the three ball, no question. However, they have great size—just no real back to the basket post scorer.
Singler is better facing the basket. Kelly is a catch and shoot 6-10 guy. The Plumlee brothers are most potent on the offensive glass, not as play-through posts.
--AW--
Rumors
about Mike Anderson to Arkansas. Not sure I understand the move. Will always be in Nolan’s big shadow.
--AW--
Missouri job better than Arkansas job
that’s what I’m saying. I think you are confusing me with the lenght of all these shadows.
--AW--
No I get what you're saying, and agree
Just wondering if he’s wanting to be the biggest fish in a smaller pond.
You ain't hurt...
I'm completely down on his system anyway
It won’t work any better in Arkansas than it does at Missouri.
Good enough for top 30, never good enough for top 10.
--AW--
Poor start for both teams
UM cold from deep.
Duke stagnant with their half court offense. Time for Kyrie.
--AW--
Duke controlling def glass
No second looks for Michigan. Going to be tough to get back in this one.
--AW--
1-3-1 putting them on their heels
Love that change of pace in Basketball just like a nice change up in Baseball
Guess I was wrong back down to 6 with some nice inside play
68-62 Duke with 4 minutes
Michigan ball down 6 with 2:38 to play
Nolan Smith missed 3 out of bound
1-3-1 changed the tempo and moment
Classic Beilien or however u spell it
3 ball Hardaway!!!!!!!! Michigan within 1
Timeout Duke
Duke holding the ball again... Offensive rebound
Duke Ball under a minute fresh 35
Big time runner by Irving
First buckets of the game I think. Has gotten everything else from the line.
--AW--
Duke looks quite beatable
if only we can get past Arizona…

Plus the Gus Johnson upset factor
That guy only calls close games
11-2!
Gus Johnson being somewhat quiet given what’s happening.
Saving his energy for the 2nd half I guess
