Report: Tressel knew about the violations in April
Allegedly Tressel found out about all of the information in April and if this is true tOSU could face more punishments.

Stoops was smarter
(and luckier) with auto-gate. He never knew anything about it. Ever. Quoting Sgt. Schultz: “Nothing. I know nothing.”
I figure that will be Tressel's response
Some insignificant staff underling (soon to be axed) will admit to getting the message and not forwarding it up the chain of command. Many mea culpa’s will be recited. The result is that Tressel is still squeaky clean and the player’s game suspensions will be reduced to one…the opener with the Akron Zips….a D 2 schooll? Everybody will warm up against Toledo in the second game and then its off to visit the U.

It's amazing how far one can get by admitting to stupidity isn't it?
There is not a situation or individual that cannot be improved by the addition of chocolate.
There's going to be a press conference

There is a clause in his contract that states he can be fired with cause for this.

They are not firing Tressel
Not now, and probably not ever. He could probably pull a Woody Hayes and still just get a public reprimand.
And that's what I have to say about that.
Did you see their president Gordon Gee
He looks like Lou Holtz dressed as Orville Redenbocker…the “bow tie” standing with “the vest” will be quite a little pathetic show tonight.
And that's what I have to say about that.
2 Games
The NCAA walks loudly and carries a pathetic twig.

The 2 Games is self-imposed by tOSU
The NCAA has yet to have it’s say on the matter. They are apparently setting up the interviews to begin their investigation, and I won’t be surprised if they don’t come down a lot harder.
I’m really shocked by Tressel’s “I didn’t know what to do” excuse. That is silly. Plus, the players got 5 games so why is tOSU only self-imposing 2? tOSU is appealing the 5 games for the players and may be saying 2 is more appropriate. However, I think it will go the other way that Tressell is more likely to get 5 and then some from the NCAA including possible vacating of wins, etc.
And that's what I have to say about that.
personally, i always thought...
…tressel was different than most, more of the mack brown type, a guy with integrity and one who has some morals.
boy was i wrong? and you know, its not that he did what he did, the worst is that the punishment he imposed was 2 games. 2 games?? haha, at least stay with your word and give a 5 game suspension, which pryor and the others got! i mean thats just completely low, to lie and then in the face of getting caught, slap yourself on the wrist when you kicked others for making the same mistake…
just goes to show all you people who wanted mack’s head, there are some things you cant just go out and find in the world these days easily and one of those things is a man with integrity

Yes, I also thought Tressel was one of the good guys
This is very disappointing and shows how rampant the “win at any cost” mentality is in college football. So sad.
And that's what I have to say about that.
this may be close to blasphemy
but i occasionally wonder if Texas is really clean. I mean, the cheating and the loophole seeking is just so prevalent that it is realllllly hard to believe that Texas isnt affected by it. I want to believe they are above it and i think they are but man is the mud just everywhere nowadays.
im sure we bend the rules or have a 'case by case' standard ...
…like letting sergio play even after he drove a car into a building (i forget, but there was chatter that he was wasted, partly supported by his fall at the party off stairs) and then walked away.
he should have been dealt with more severely IMO.
but i am pretty confident that the rule breaking does not go on. and i think thats partly because our coach, IMO, is not stronger than the board or the president. in some places thats true, as we saw in OSU’s case, but it is different with us cuz we are an actual research university before a school that plays football.
but i think a lot of OSU people believed than about their univ too, and they have been shocked by this.
in our case, we have seen examples where we have stayed away from larger issues for sure, the little ones are swept under the rug, for good or bad.
