The Ohio State University is spinning out of control. Not only did Tressell jeopardize their program, but the school knew about the forwarded e-mails prior to the bizarre press conference in which they praised Tressell.

Here's the deal.  Tressell knowingly played ineligible players from the date he learned of the kids' violations. He didn't inform the NCAA, and he tried to cover it up.

The NCAA made complete fools out of themselves when they allowed the kids to play in the bowl game, and now the NCAA looks even more stupid.  How can the NCAA stand and judge athletes and the football programs that are making money off the sport, when they set the example to do so when they decided it was more important to let the kids play in the bowl game.  The NCAA and BCS put the profits of their bowl game ahead of doing the right thing. How can they expect schools and the student athletes not to follow their examples.
