Edit: Go look under clientele on the tuxpr website. It confrims that JHam is a 2011 NBA draft prospect just like Chris Singleton

I'm not too upset
I figured this was going to happen anyway, and while JHam is a terrific scorer, he has tended to not be a team player and chose to jack up prayers from the parking lot instead of playing within the offense. When he is on, it’s a beautiful thing, but as long as a core of Tristan, CoJo, J’Covan and Kabongo are here next year I still like our chances to win the Big 12-2

i disagree...
…last year, he bought into to the offense. He will be missed.

He did as long as we were crushing opponents in the beginning
When we started to falter and get behind in the second half of the season, he seemed to panic and take every shot, whether it was smart to or not. Don’t take this as JHam bashing, because it’s not. I loved the guy and wish him well, but I don’t think we will be any less of a national power if he leaves

I agree.
He was a great team member last year and is going to be missed on-court big-time. Any talented piece you take away from this team takes them further and further away from a chance at a conference or national title. It’s clear-cut and easy to see. This has been going on for years in the program. Just when we get close, somebody bugs out. Let’s hope that JHam stays put. If he doesn’t, I still wish he & the UT program the best success.
Twitter Account
About two days ago I saw a J-ham twitter account with no tweets, no followers and no following and now I cannot find it. Seems like he is preparing for his departure.
Not sure why he would
With the NBA labor dispute going into January at the earliest, I don’t know why he wouldn’t stick around, polish his offensive game, and play with his buddies Joseph and Kabongo on a national contender. Then come out as the possible #1 pick next year

Because its one of the weakest draft classes in a decade...
he’ll get his fat signing bonus and be able to sit on it, these guys in the draft will be fine since they typically won’t have 15 car payments, 2 McMansion mortgages, and or wives and kids…the lock out won’t effect them as much as the other players. I heard on 104.9 that Joseph may declare too….
I checked again this morning
THey took off the “(2011 NBA Draft Prospect)” part, so they’re waiting for him to announce it himself probably
Neither of those
Have been decided yet. He definitely has NOT signed an agent as of now.

Thompson: No decision yet
By Richard Tijerina | Thursday, April 14, 2011, 06:20 PM
Here’s a Tristan Thompson update:
Texas’ freshman forward who is deciding between returning to the Longhorns next season or jumping to the NBA is doing just that: still deciding.
Our own Mark Rosner just bumped into Thompson prior to the Longhorns’ annual basketball banquet, and asked him whether he’s made a decision yet.
"Nope," Thompson said. "I still have time."
Thompson was reminded that several NBA scouts have said they think he’s leaving Texas to turn pro.
"They don’t know that," he said.
The deadline for underclassmen to throw their names into the NBA draft is April 24. Jordan Hamilton also has been deliberating between coming back to Texas or going pro.
