With the fast approaching Sunday deadline for college hoopsters to declare for the NBA draft, anxious Longhorn fans await decisions by All American Jordan Hamilton and Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Tristan Thompson. With the latest Lunardi bracketology showing Longhorns an early projected #1 seed in next year's NCAA tournament, along with a #3 way-to-early ranking, all eyes are focused on the decisions of these two high-profile players. Barnes has secured another strong-on-paper recruiting class but clearly without these two dominating players on the floor expectations will likely remain higher for team results than they otherwise should be if Jordan and Thompson do not return. Personally speaking, Jordan should capitalize on his notoriety and declare. While still a bit raw around the edges, he brings good fluidity, footwork, and a knack for carving out rebounding space in spite of his lack in front line height (think taller version of Vinnie Johnson). He'll make someone a nice 2-deep off-guard prospect and might surprise with early floor time.
