Longhorn Scott Discusses Power O
The QB situation has made us uneasy, but this seems like good news. Or if it's not good news, it's at least interesting to read.

M. Brown
I really think he will make a splach as a freshman. He just won a 5A state champioship with a horrible OL. He will have a solid interior OL and OT’s that can atleast run block half way decent.
my take away from the post
Mike Sherman is gonna love Manny Diaz even more than I thought.
It is interesting to me that texas is moving closer to the offensive scheme A&M ran last season.
It always seems to back to atm for you doesn’t it?

The fallout of not having a quality or competent QB..
I don’t see a drastic difference in this team unless we see tremendous improvement from the QB position. It’s the single most important position on the field, and none of the current QB’s at the 40 acres has me believing we can get back in the national title hunt.

didn't y'all try to do this exact same thing last year?
On the bright side, Hopkins is a year older and should be better. Assuming you are solid on the interior is a stretch IMO considering what you had on the field last year. You are just going to have to hope that your incoming freshmen are ready to step in and play big minutes at tackle and let Allen move back inside or to the bench. Right now I still say your best bet is feeding the rock to Cody Johnson 30 times a game and hoping Gilbert doesn’t get picked off on play action.
