Holy mother of....
Do we have a shot at this kid?
If we got him and the Harrisons, Wow!

Yeah Texas is going all out for him
Most think it will be a Texas/KU battle, but other schools like UNC are obviously very interested. Most important recruit for UT since Durant, and it’s not even close.

doubtful
a friend of mine works with his mom. She wants him to go to Duke. Kentucky is also sniffing around. Texas is a longshot here.
Texas is not a longshot by any stretch at this point

Studly
Texas NEEDS to land this kid. I’d say he’s 10x more important than Durant, given that Randle is a 3 hour drive away from Austin, not a 3 hour flight.
Not sure if I would say more "important"
Why does it make a difference how far a kid is? Randle’s a national recruit big time, so it’s not like it’s shameful to lose him. And people don’t judge basketball recruiting the way they do with football in that you have to dominate your back yard, unless you’re just embarrassing yourself (Bruce Weber) or not trying (Gary Williams).
Now, if the hoped-for rules change to 2 years in college is in effect by then we are certainly in agreement ;)

He does
He’s an excellent shooter for a player at his size and age, while still being a primarily inside player. Lot of people are saying he projects as a SF and give some comparisons to Caron Butler, but I think he’s an inside player all the way.

Yeah
I agree with you there. Amare’s never had priorities on defense lol.

Good grief!
Looks like a cross between Lebron & Shaq. Can he play Tight End? Maybe we need him there more.
WOW
Looks like a stronger, more powerful version of Chris Bosh

Honestly
The kid has so many disparate comparisons it’s hard to imagine from hearing them all what his actual strengths are. Stronger and more powerful Chris Bosh theoretically should be the second best player in the NBA, hehe.
Personally, I think he’s what people wanted out of Mike Beasley and will want out of Terrance Jones: a legitimately 6’9" lefty PF that will bang in the post but can score from all over the court as well as having a finesse game. Beasley already made the move to SF because he’s too short for the NBA. Jones will likely have to do the same thing.
