Thanks for ruining the Big 12... Texas
You already got a larger portion of the revenue, but you insisted on more. You could have been a part of a unified Big 12 Network where everyone was fat and happy but you had too much greed. Forget tradition right? Kansas and Missouri have been playing football since 1891... Nebraska and Missouri since 1892... blah blah blah doesn't matter. You want your money right?
Who cares if everyone in your conference has a problem with you broadcasting high school games on your network. You can do whatever you want. You're Texas... remember? If anyone doesn't like it they can leave, and if $#!+ really hits the fan you can always just go independent. Who cares if you blow up a conference in the process? You should start your own conference called the MBC aka "Mafia Bully Conference". Or maybe hook up with Notre Dame in the WTBTEC aka "We Think We're Better Than Everyone Conference"
The Big 8 was doing just fine before you came along, and now I wish you never had.

So much wrong with this fanpost.
I’ll just say that I do think it’s funny that two of the three schools rumored to be leaving were two of the staunchest supporters of unequal revenue sharing when it helped them.

Nebraska and A&M
along with Texas and OU has the biggest pieces of the pie and those two^ are the ones ruining it for you, have fun in the Big East or MWC.

This Big 12 deal allows us to maximize our own profits. We need to do it and not cry about it

Nebraska and aTm are hypocrites, pure and simple. And some people are just idiots, incapable of performing simple mathematical calculations.

You need to take your blinders off son...
Texas is another team in our conference just like all the others. The majority of the Big 12 was ok with Texas getting a larger slice of the pie until they wanted more. Texas didn't ruin the Big 12
forgive our brethren’s anger. KSU tends to be at mercy of others when realignment happens and it’s hard to not have the influence or weight that other institutions have. Particularly when schools like Texas A&M get to pull stunts like this despite their recent athletic irrelevance. The only slim consolation for us is that while we are powerless and clinging to the goodwill of others, so is KU. And we hate them far. far worse than we dislike living living in your shadow.
Since the Big XIIs inception...
It’s been nothing but Texas’ fault. Everything from partial qualifiers to the war in Iraq. It’s always something. You just don’t want to admit that Texas and OU are the two schools that made the Big XII what it is that lets KSU keep the money rolling in.
Oh, btw, about the high school games that the LHN wanted to show… We haven’t. We put a 1 year moratorium on it. The NCAA came in and said that it’s not allowed, now we can’t. It’s funny how much you (all the other KSU fans seem to be rational so yea, just you) and all the Aggie fans have their panties in a bunch because of something that we wanted to do, but ultimately never did. Get over yourself.

Thinking they are the best conference. What conference only has 7 teams? I bet they do not equal share with Brown. There I said it,Yale and Harvard hold Brown down. Sorry, guys.
I, for one, have been fighting a running battle with schadenfreude-overdosed Nebraska fans, brain-dead Aggies, and various other uninformed outsiders for two weeks now.
Did you know that it’s all your fault the SWC broke up? (No, it’’s not SMU and aTm’’s fault. It’s yours. Just ask anyone.)
Did you know that KSU and the other dwarves are lying down and letting you rifle our pockets, and that revenue sharing is more unequal now than it was when Nebraska (who, of course, was our knight in shining armor and would have defended us against your depredations if we just hadn’t agreed to move the conference offices and championship game to Dallas) was still around to fight for justice and freedom? IT’S TRUE!
And, of course, now AggieFan claims he wants out because you’re standing in the way of equality. Because, you know. aTm wasn’t preventing the rest of us from forcing you into equal revenue sharing for the last 15 years.
It’s funny; I used to prefer Aggies to Longhorns in general. My, how times have changed.

elses blog….Damn, see we are helping the Horns make more money at every step.
No, No, NO
We are making more money for ourselves, we don’t need any help. Everyone else is the worm we step on as we grab our encrypted satellite phone that we use to give our Cayman Island banker our new wiring instructions. Get with the wild-eyed conventional wisdom!

I can understand why KSU fans (and afns of other quote unquote lesser Big XII teams) are frustrated. The simple truth is their team’s future is out of their control. But for the grace of Texas goes KSU. The flip side is that riding Texas’ coat-tails will give KSU much. Not as much as Texas ever will and that imbalance will probably only grow over time. Thus, increasing the frustration.
It is an interesting dynamic and one that doesn’t exist pretty much anywhere else in sports, methinks. This is why I love college sports.

Your assertions don't make sense.
I started to say “your arguments” but you present no argument, just bitter complaints. First, if UT wanted to destroy the BigXII, they would take taken OU, Tech, and A&M and jumped to the PAC 10 last year. Second, we didn’t want Colorado, Nebraska, and expecially A&M to leave. Their leaving destroys the conference, not our TV network. Third, this stuff about broadcasting HS games, is a moot point. It has already been decided it won’t be done this year and perhaps never. Finally, if KSU fans and administrators feel mistreated by big bad UT, then you are free to find another conference.

See, his problem
is that KSU fans and administrators don’t agree with him.

Revenue Sharing
I don’t understand why the disproportionate revenue sharing is so hated. Texas gets more money because they earned it through Televised National TV games among other successes. If the other teams in the Big 12 want to percentage that Texas gets, all they have to do is earn it through the success of their athletic program, attendance, and I’m sure there are other things that could help with the merit program. Texas earns the extra money they get because the bring in the most money to the Big 12. If the teams want someone to blame, look in the mirror.
