NFL Longhorns you want on your fantasy roster

With most people's NFL fantasy drafts just around the corner, I am curious how many of you are like me - biased toward players you know and love. Because of my passion for the Longhorns, I find myself tempted to snag top Longhorn athletes if I see they're available, even if another pick might be smarter... maybe it's stubbornness, or maybe it's just the orange blood in me :)

I had Jamaal Charles on my roster last year and he TORE it up, averaged 6.4 yrds/carry but had to split carries in KC. I think he's prepared to have a monster year as KC realizes they have a monster on their hands and start handing him the bulk of the load.

Also thinking about Jermichael Finley at TE coming off his injury. I always thought he'd be promising in GB. Might be a solid pick if a couple of the top TEs are unavailable when it's my turn to snag someone.

I'm also hoping Shipley starts tearing it up in Cinci, although they have a freshman QB now.. but maybe he'll get more targets without Ochocinco (and maybe TO?).

Are their certain players you can't wait to watch or want to snag for your fantasy team?

Huge Browns and Horns Fan

Colt McCoy is taking to the WCO like a fish to water. Will be throwing 30+ times per games and would be an outstanding 2nd QB with real upside. Factor in homerism into comment – but he has been near perfect.

Finley

The only reasons he isn’t the #1 TE in fantasy are a history of injury and some guy named Gates in San Diego. If he stays off the IR, in that offense, he’ll have a Pro Bowl year.

Some have argued Charles is the potential #1 pick; He’s certainly in the top 5.

The Cincinnati offense figures to struggle. Cedric Benson (remember him?) is going to get some touches and Shipley is going to catch some balls but I don’t like the reek that’s coming from that team this season; Either of those ex-Horns could be a later-round value pick but don’t overdraft them.

McCoy is the guy you want when you’ve got a quality starting QB and you can afford to take a late-round flyer. That offense seems to suit him well and I think he’ll stamp his name on the starting job this seaon — making him a good value in dynasty leagues — but in that division, with the defenses he’s facing, McCoy is going to have some bad games.

Cincy's situation really bums me out for Jordan

he went from a fantasy sleeper/stud to catching passes from a ginger.

All seriousness, there’s no way Andy Dalton is putting up numbers this season. Colt, on the other hand…

That is bad for Jordan

Seems like they have a lot of emerging WRs. You’d think some team with a dearth of young talent at the position would offer up something in trade.

Ricky Williams

Baltimore is notorious for feeding vultures like McGahee and McClain. It’s Ricky’s turn.

I got to see him play in person for the first time ever on Friday

He didn’t stand out, but it’s pre-season, and he seemed to be splitting the first-team carries with Rice.

I drew a blank

I have no Horns as the guy right in front ofme stole Colt and I got stuck with Sanchez.

I also have no Cowboys or Texans.Ricky was stolen late and Witten was taken before I had a chance to get him.

My RBs stink with Forte,Wells, Hightower, Sproles and Ringer.

Any suggestions?

Is there a Witten who played for Texas?

I only know of Jason Witten, who played for Tennessee.
