Case of Longhorn Network blues

Well I am not sure who to blame here other than the almighty greed of big corporate America. I have called Time Warner about 3 times in the last week and of course they blame ESPN and of course ESPN blames Time Warner. Let's not forget the greed of the university that allowed for this whole network deal to even be approved. Yes, even the University of Texas is a corporation in itself. No matter who is to blame, it's the fans like you and me that end up getting screwed. I am disgusted that as of this hour, I am not able to watch the game unless I shell out the money to go to the game. Thanks to the tremendous Texas heat, that option is out at least this time. This whole Longhorn Network thing is starting to disgust me even more. My emotions run high during football season and of course for us fans, it has been a long grueling wait to fast forward to this season. Tomorrow is the day that most guys and perhaps even a few ladies wait for all year long. We love our beer and tasty grilled treats and of course we all love to watch the Horns play. This years home opener is even more important than perhaps any other game this year because it will show us the direction the Longhorns are going to go for the rest of the season. I think it is safe to say that after Texas struggled against Rice last year, we all knew in the back of our minds that it was probably a sign of things to come and it certainly was. Thank God for Craig Way tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least we will have the voice of the Longhorns to be our eyes when we can't see. There certainly is nothing like listening in on a good football game over the AM/FM radio waves. I will try to stay strong, but as I sit here stewing over this whole thing, I keep thinking about how without us, cable companies like Time Warner and networks like ESPN would be nothing if it weren't for the viewers and cable subscribers. As tough as it will be, I plan to boycott ESPN tomorrow and cancel a few of my services with Time Warner if not all. As for the Longhorn Network, thanks for the wonderful start. You can screw me once, but you won't screw me again. To hell with your network. Thanks big corporate America for taking away one of the few things we as Americans have left to take pride in and most of all, thanks for ruining the start of the college football season. Take your networks and shove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the Horns, good luck on the gridiron and as for everyone here, Hook 'Em my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
