Does anyone really want to drive 4000 miles roundtrip to see a college football or basketball game? Costs will skyrocket for the athletic program, the student athletes will suffer and really, who gives a rats ass about playing Oregon States basketball team on a Saturday night? These programs from the east and west coast are not our rivals. The Big 12 represents the heartland of the United States, without it there will be a spiritual void, I think it is much better to be able to drive up to Waco or wherever and get back at a reasonable hour rather than 2 days later and frantically hurrying to make that first class Monday morning. If we move to a different conference alignment rather than save and make the Big 12 stronger, I predict that apathy will soon be a staple of the campus diet. Nuff sed!
