Kickoff time for Tech game?

Anyone have the skinny on when they announce the kickoff time(s) of the TBA games remaining on the schedule? I know this game was a primetime game when it was played in the month of September, but that was prior to realignment and subsequent schedule changes. Am I right to assume this would probably be an afternoon game due to the fact OU/A&M and LSU/Alabama would be the primetime games on November 5th? We are attending the Tech game and knowing the start time would help tremendously. Thanks and as always.....HOOK EM!

I have been to several Tech games both home and away...

I don’t remember many of them being before a 6pm kickoff, from what I can recall ‘07,’05 in Austin and ‘94 in Lubbock. I would bet on a 6-7pm kickoff with some sort of regional ABC/ESPN coverage.
Living in Lubbock, I pay close attention to this game and actually feel sorry for myself for actually remembering this information, but hey at least I get to use my wealth of useless longhorn knowledge, or at least that’s what my wife calls it.

So you are in the panhandle too huh?

I’m taking some Tech fans to their first game in Austin. I have instructed them to bring a notepad so they can document how a college fan should a) act in public, esp. When kids are around when supporting your team, b) notice how the tailgate encompasses the whole downtown area (not just the campus) c) realize Texas’ ‘rival’ is NOT TTU and d) experience 6th street.

It may be a bigger shock to see that the stadium remains mostly full, even into the 4th Q

They won’t announce until 2 weeks before and I believe they can hold 2 (maybe?) games a year to announce the week of. I would expect that OSU will be held, but with TV you never know. I would expect/plan for the worst possible scenario and hope for the best.
