Rice Owls at Texas Longhorns: Second Half Game Thread
Some good and some bad in the first half as the Horns hold a 13-6 lead. Texas will get the ball back and hopefully will build on what they did in the previous 30 minutes. This'll be your open thread.

We look like a 7-5 team right now.
Run offense – Better than last year.
Passing offese – The same (I will give them that they are toning it down).
There is overall flow.
Play calling is better.
D-line is awful through the middle.
No containment around the edges.
I watched a lot of games today. Even Utah State looked more efficient than us!
Can we just have the immovable object Bible
just stand in the middle and clog it up?

QB Garrett Gilbert was the Beavis & Butthead episode of the 2010 college football season. Even when things were going well there was always one bad decision that meant he wasn’t going to score.

A so-so half from GG
A few good plays, some dropped balls that weren’t his fault, but also needs to scan the field more and test the Rice defense. I wonder if we’ll see a full series for either Case or Ash to see what they’ve got.

Let's not pour sprinkles on this turd. Very disappointing half.
Hopefully, half time adjustments occur. One touchdown against Rice is unacceptable. Still not playing to the standard.
Not going to cover the spread
We seem to be toiling out there. A struggle to make anything go.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
It's time to see if we have a young
Running game.
Let’s take the wraps off Brown.
Saw a few positives
We were able to pound it in, given a short field
Bergeron did look hard to tackle
It takes a while to get results out of two very new schemes
Rice is a school that UT’s talent alone should be able to beat for 3-4 TDs just in the first half, though.

Exactly!

No disrespect for Rice
