It was an awesome show

If you couldn’t make out all that was said (which I had a hard time at parts because it was loud in my section), or they didn’t show the whole show on the broadcast, here’s the script, from the MOB website. It’s hilarious.

Also, saw this funny tweet: Rice MOB Dir.: We like playing in Austin…theUT crowd is smart enough to get the jokes and self-confident enough not to be offended by them

My favorite college band

besides LHB. I always loved meeting the MOB members who were:

A. Marching with a baby strapped to them ala Angelina Jolie
B. Marching a ridiculous instrument like violin or piano (not joking…)
B. Less than 18 or greater than 50 years old (you don’t have to be a Rice student to be in the MOB)

The MOB was AWESOME last night

The IQ of the BIG 12 and the SEC will rise once TAMU leaves.

Announcer:
Speaking of Aggies, there’s Texas Governor – A-and-M alumnus – Rick Perry. He looks like he needs a little direction. Okay, God, tell him. [long pause]

No? All right, everyone, let’s try this:
Simon says, touch your ear.

MOB:
All touch their ear.

Announcer:
Simon says, jump up and down.

MOB:
All jump up and down while touching their ear.

Announcer:
Now run for President!

Field Action:
Rick Perry look-alike dashes toward a Barack Obama look-alike.

Announcer:
Nuh-uh! Simon didn’t say!

So, the next time you go to the polls, ask yourself: is your candidate smarter than an Aggie?

Formation:
Outline of The State of Texas

Music:
School’s Out (for Summer)

Field Action:
After Perry flunks out from Simon Says, members of the press attempt to interview Obama with Perry attempting to steal the show every chance he gets.

Satan watches, amused, eating from an over-sized bucket of popcorn.

Nicely done.

QB Garrett Gilbert was the Beavis & Butthead episode of the 2010 college football season. Even when things were going well there was always one bad decision that meant he wasn’t going to score.
