Texas target Mario Edwards new 247Sports national no. 1 recruit
Florida State commit and Texas target Mario Edwards is the new top recruit in the country by 247Sports following strong performances in the UA game and in the practices leading up to the game.
He will decide between Florida State, LSU, and Texas following visits to both Tallahassee and Baton Rouge over the next weeks.
The top Longhorn commit in the rankings is DT Malcom Brown, who prevented some serious challenges for offensive linemen in the UA game as well and comes in at no. 7 nationally, ahead of highly-touted recruit Eddie Goldman.

That's enviable size for any five-technique end going into the NFL draft
Amazing that he’s still in HS and plays like a real end at that size.

Edwards
Trims list to LSU, Texas, FSU – believe they were mentioned in that order, but not sure order was important when he answered. Not sure if these teams were already understood (think it was) or if was something official he just did, and ESPN just posted.

I’m sure you’ve stated it somewhere, but what would you put the odds of us landing either/both of the top two?
